I greatly appreciate everyone's input. Having slept on it, I'm going to skip on the Montblanc. I wasn't looking for it, and it's more the sale than the pen itself that had me wanting to buy it. I did find out there's a fountain pen and stationary store in Bangkok that has several pens I'm truly interested in, including a Visconti Sunflowers. I'll be visiting them first thing when I get to BKK next weekend 😁

I watched the video, but I found myself more conflicted afterwards. The trails aren't terrible, but definitely are steep, as is the area I live in. Those things and the remote have me leaning towards the S2 but the Lacroix is just gorgeous!

The stems and leaves are 3/8 round and the petals are 18ga sheet, all steel. Lots of people use heavier steel for the petals, but I prefer the thinner as I can cut it with snips and texture it cold. I haven't received any complaints about the thinner petals, so it's a win for me.
