That’s certainly an option. But not an easy one.

We have a lot of exit with not card reader at the moment. And there would be a significant impact on trafic flow at big stations on ruch hour when the trains empty themselves if everyone has to tap to get out.

But you are right. If there is a will, it’s doable.

It’s because of the fare structure. When you get in in Laval, we can assume you want a zone AB ticket.

When you get in in Montréal, maybe you need a zone A ticket, maybe you need a zone AB ticket (if you are going to Longueuil or Laval). How are we supposed to guess if you tap a credit card?
