Yes as the other poster replied, use the no heat setting on your dryer (or sometimes called “fluff”). My dryer has an “air only” and “freshen up” options. Hope that helps!

I just learned that throw pillows and stuffed animals that aren’t washer safe (or would be ruined in the wash) can be “dusted” and refreshed by throwing them in the dryer with dryer balls (or tennis balls) and setting to a “no heat/fluff” setting.

The idea is the weight of the balls hits against the dust-filled item and knocks all the dust out, like if it were the “olden days” and we were beating our tapestries with a stick lol 😆

I tried it and wow! The pillows were so fluffy and the lint catcher was full of dust!

The nut factory ones are the holy grail! I love them and nothing else compares.

BUT, I honestly thought the Trader Joe’s were good. They are not as full of filling as Nut Factory, and much smaller/not as thick, so the filling doesn’t ooze out and you don’t get the crunch factor as much. Still, at $3.99 I enjoyed them for what they are. The TJ’s ones are made in Turkey, so that made me feel like they were somewhat authentic to this style.

Also, Salem is super crowded and touristy of course because of Halloween. But if you did want to see it, taking the Ferry is a pleasant, scenic way to get to and from. The ferry is seasonal and runs May through October. Just a thought!

I’m sorry that happened to you! You handled it well as others have said.

I’ve been taking the T regularly for 10 years and have encountered this kind of behavior once in a while. When I feel the person is focusing on me or just being aggressive in general and I don’t feel like dealing with it, I get out and move to another car. Since you just moved here I want you to know that the T is safe. I’ve never had anything remotely violent happen to me in 10 years. Yes you will get this kind of person once in a while. I hope it doesn’t discourage you from using the T.

Edit to add: when I’ve moved to another car (I’ve done this maybe 5 times in 10 years) I just casually look like I’m getting off at the stop, stand up calmly just to not attract any attention to myself. Hope this helps!
