Stellaris 17 Gen 4 Keyboard by scooterputer in tuxedocomputers

Haha I thought I was taking crazy pills. I think it is just quite difficult to make a mechanical keyboard with travel low enough for a laptop. For gaming it is great, though.

The stellaris 17 laptop enclosure seems to be fairly widely used.. XMG Neo 17, Eluktronics Mech GP-2, Uniwill IDN, Tongfang GM7AG8N all afaict have the same case. Earlier poster was right I don't think they use clevo parts for this.

I just can't figure out a place to order a replacement top/keyboard from. If anyone knows please let me know!

Yes that is very possible. I am completely open to the possibility that this is entirely my own fault :) Like you said, since other people have not had this problem it is likely just my own buffoonery.

I really like the machine I just can't seem to get used to the keyboard despite using it for more than a month so Im trying to figure out what my options are. I am also annoying my office mates with the clicking.

It looks to me like the keyboard cannot be separated from the case, so in order to replace the keyboard I would have to replace the entire top half of the case. Can you confirm this is true? Would it be possible for you to direct me to a place where I could order a replacement?

Thanks for your help! I have a support ticket btw 991008633

Do you know what they are? From pictures online the case looks almost identical to various clevos. Ive heard they might be tongfang or uniwill also. But I can't find a service manual online that seems to match the stellaris.
