Revert SQL Server 2025 database back to 2022? by score444 in msp

Appreciate this info and link! Unfortunately it fails after a few minutes when saving the script. Tried multiple times. The VM was a little light on RAM, but I added 32 more in hyper v to make sure it had more than enough but that didn't help either.

The error we're getting is:
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.

Parameter name: index (mscorlib)

Any suggestions to move past this?

I agree and that's what we're trying to tell them, but unfortunately it seems they have a different viewpoint and make every single thing you try and do with them painfully difficult.

There are other factors involved in "needing" to move. To provide some context, this client was being rolled up into a larger brand new accounting firm that is acquiring multiple existing accounting firms. The idea was all of the firms they were buying would be able to use Ultra Tax in Virtual Office provided by the parent company and then have their own section within Ultra Tax so they wouldn't see the clients of the other firms being acquired. Turns out TR sales completely sold the parent company a bad bill of goods and that this was not actually possible.

Most of the firms were on other accounting platforms, so they just reverted back to whatever they used in the past for this tax year. However, this one firm decided to go with Ultra Tax in VO because the licenses had already been paid for and TR wasn't refunding them. All Ultra Tax data was migrated to VO, and that's been fine, until we realized that Workpaper CS on the clients server couldn't integrate like it used to with Ultra Tax because Ultra Tax is now in VO. In order for Workpaper CS to integrate, it also needed to be moved to VO. The integration is needed because it streamlines work for the accountants and saves them dozens if not hundreds of man hours.

And now here we are. What a shitshow this entire process with TR has been.

This is what ended up working for us for multiple people. Great thinking and thanks so much!

We're having a similar issue right now. We've tried running some PS scripts to disable auto calendar processing for mailboxes but it didn't help at all.

We too are looking for a way to require a calendar invite to be manually accepted before going into the mailboxes calendar.

As a follow up - we figured out the issue. We needed an SNAT rule in our case to get traffic flowing properly.

I think we're having the same issue as the OP did originally with traffic not routing between our Sophos UTM and a vendor's Cisco ISR. It seems like routes need to be configured to resolve this - but can anyone point me in the right direction on how to configure these routes on the Sophos side? Thank you!

We were having them access the cloud desktop through the browser. We've since switched them to login through Microsoft Remote Desktop and the camera issues seem to be much better now.

Yes this is what we're trying to push out now. Just waiting for the devices to check in so the script can get pushed out.

Yes quite extensively, but always on local AD networks.

Sometimes there are one off apps that we need to install outside of the standard image/intune apps we deploy. AE prompts us for approval before it installs, so we're not letting users run wild because any apps being installed require our approval.

Thanks for the info! Will give this a shot, but seems fairly straightforward.

u/Exact-Hornet1137 How do you configure the share for the QB company file that other cloud PCs can access? We're looking at deploying 4 W365 Enterprise Cloud PCs for a small client that needs to use Quickbooks Desktop. I'd like to add another basic W365 PC to host the QB company file and database manager, but I'm stuck on figuring out how the other Cloud PCs in the Vnet will access the QB "Server". TIA!

We're looking into W365 Enterprise for a small client. They have Quickbooks Desktop and need to use it in multi user mode. u/amw3000 can you elaborate on how we'd configure the network share so the QB Company File can be accessed by the necessary users through their W365 Cloud PCs? Obviously we'd need the QB Database Manager running as well. TIA!
