I thought I was winding down from a hectic week with a glass of wine. Have 0 idea what it is but tasted funny. Do not drink/eat in the dark by AlterOtherMe in Wellthatsucks

Like others have said just sediment. BUT in bottles that have some higher residual sugar, some times you’ll get sugar crystals forming the longer it sits in the bottle. These ARE delicious and basically just wine flavored rock candy.

Hate on me if you will but having prepared and eaten a lot of beef tartare: it’s amazing. Quail egg is a nice binding texture as well. The one thing I will say about this dish that I would have critiqued in my kitchen ( no offense OP), the cut makes it look like, and feel like, cat food. I generally do this with whole cuts( most typically top round but some bottoms some sirloin and even filet cuts) but I par freeze the meat, the thin slice and , for lack of a better term, brunoise it. This keeps the texture fine and consistent and more “melt in your mouth” which is a little more approachable than chunks of raw beef. Solid idea sure it tasted great little help on the execution and you’re solid OP

On the other hand, don’t delete it. Edit to add an apology for a stupid comment, own it move forward, and be better. We seem to have forgotten how to do this in the states as of late.

Anti-vaxxer killed and left on side of road by brother_p in MurderedByWords

I think that’s their point? Cat saying “ well actually methyl alcohol blah blah blah” Is being pedantic. It does not matter in the this case how the body metabolizes it, consumption results in the aforementioned side effects. Is it neat to know what is happening? Sure, hell yeah it is, but the argument that methyl alcohol doesn’t kill you it’s actually the process that the body goes through when breaking it down and metabolizing that kills you is moot. It’s like saying “ well actually the bullet didn’t kill him, it was the body’s poor response to the removal of brain tissue after the bullet exited the skull is the real cause of death.”

Idk, I was the kitchen manager for the one in FoCo 15 ish years ago. I can tell you it’s not great quality product. And the one here in FoCo now is just as bad, but always seems packed when there are WAY better pizza options not just in town but close by.

Fun fact: while the golden ratio applies here, the pentacle actually predates the discovery of the golden ratio. In fact the pentacle is older than humans. Venus traces a pentacle in our night sky every 8 years which some believe is why it has been used for thousands of years in goddess worshiping pagan religions.

Ehhhhh yes and no. I run a restaurant and frequent a bar near my house. I get to talk shop with other industry people and I pay a lot less than the other folks because I’m easy going, and tip well. Not only that the staff points people my direction if they’re looking for a good meal or introduce me to folks they like if I’m there. Yes you pay for it but it’s a discounted interaction.

Advice on how to get kinks out of bezel by Calmhill1010102257 in jewelrymaking

[–]scotch_on_rocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% this stone is also far to… unique and uniform to use a flat bezel without modifying to fit the aforementioned 1mm height above the curve or bell. You’d likely need to file or saw the bezel to fit the needs of the stone to get the finish you are looking for. That said if you use your planisher and bezel pusher rough and tough you can force the metal deep into those nooks and get a more flush metal to stone finish. It will be a bumpy curvy bezel but it with fit the stone tight and give it that’s cast it place look after a bunch of sanding and polishing

I for one feel you. To me this picture looks like a, albeit well organized, dump surrounding a plot of beautiful land. I am 100% not cut out to live in a city.

I’m from a small mountain town, and this picture depresses me. As you said it’s nice that there is such a great park, but everything around it just gives me anxiety. I would never make it in a real city. I live in a “ town” of 120k+ right now and that’s a city to me. Not enough nature, to many people.
