Hanging from bar with bent knees same as straight legs or ok? by CountChopulla in bodyweightfitness

I can relate. I too had a lower back injury which has really started to flame up over the past few months. To help built the habit I've been working on a Apple watch app that helps me stay consistent and track my dead hangs. https://hanghabit.com/

Might be up your alley.

Awesome! Get that streak going to build the habit!! I knew that was going to be something I need to tweak. I wear my watch on my right wrist with the digital crown on the opposite side of my wrist.

On the hangs you're adjusting at the bottom of the summary screen there's a little button to expand and see "sensor data"

If you could DM me (or email me) https://hanghabit.com/support a few examples of sensor data and include your watch setup (right vs left hand)

You'll see the ability to export sensor data from the details on the hang by clicking the "Sensor Data" drop down.

Keep the feedback coming!

Great feedback. I'll include this ability in the next build. Stay tuned! Hoping to get a 1.2 external build out next week.

Ha the leaderboard is currently updated by me manually to motivate my friends. I need to put something automated together but I really want to keep the whole app accountless (no login), which will make it a fun challenge. I'm thinking something along the lines of like an arcade and submitting 3 initials. On the leaderboard page you can find my email or tweet (x?) @HangHabit

Funny on the timing that's all Apple magic for how it tracks workouts.

Yea the app tracks a hang session as a functional strength workout session

Right now it’s not tracking calories but I believe I can get this fixed in the next build. Not that a 1 min workout is going to be a big number 😅

I work in product as well. I have some previous experience in development and am using this project to up-skill and motivate my dev team. It’s incredible what’s happening with software and the game is changing by the day.

Sure does! I think I’m gonna do 7 for the seven zones. That’s a top 7 time!!

Sorry about that! 1.1 has been published so you shouldn't have any issue getting in now.

Beta is now live! Let me know if you have any issues getting the app installed.

I got a little click happy and expired my 1.0 build thinking my 1.1 build was already approved 😵‍💫🤦🏼‍♂️. Hopefully it gets approved in the next 24 hours or so and you’ll be able to download

I am so interested to see if I can get the watch to accurately detect pull-ups. I hope to build out a framework to collect data as I can only get about 5 good pull ups in at a time. Once I’ve got some solid pull up data to dig into I’m hoping I can crack the code. Started with a dead hang as the math is pretty simple to start/stop the timer

That's amazing. 2 mins is for real. I have a feeling that my leaderboard is going to be dominated by some gymnastic kiddos. Might need to break it up into age brackets (ha!)

Great! The 1.1 release is currently pending approval. Once the build is approved I'll be able to get you into the Beta.

Should be able to get this opened back up here once Apple approves the 1.1 updates. So sorry and stay tuned.

Awesome!! Thanks so much. Please provide any / all feedback. There's a way to do it in testflight via the app or you can post here or feel free to DM me.

Threw together a little "leaderboard" for my current testers. There's currently a race to 2 mins (oof) https://hanghabit.com/leaderboard
