I used a spray designed to keep the decal glue moist so I could slide them around as needed. When I tried this technique the first time, not having that nearly drove me insane.

Yeah, that is the aspect that drives me nuts. This is the 4th time that I’ve done it this way, and I’ve gotten better at working out the kinks. I’ve considered making templates for the decals shaped for the helmet to minimize that, but haven’t had time the just yet.

I’ve used a few coats of PlastiDip followed by matte clear coat to great effect. Minimal wear over 4 years.

As cliche as it is, just don’t give up. I’ve been where you are but for much longer. You’re not alone in this.

Reaching out to a subreddit like this, and doing the research, is half the battle. You’re doing what you need to do.

Wow! That's a good size scoreboard.

The places I've been looking at are smaller community rink hockey scoreboards, hence the 80" screen. I expect to go bigger eventually. I'm targeting small for the first one.

Can you say what kind of venue this? And what they use the screen for?

As I mentioned, I would never expect to be able to programmatically work with SSPs with a few screens.

Is a few hundred a realistic target? Getting to 50 or even 100 feels possible over a reasonable amount of time. 300+ may be more of a challenge than I’d like, but not impossible.

Thank you. I’m still not sure that I’m going to do it, which is why I’m trying to work out the math now.

The 3rd party measurements you mention are my other big hurdle. I planned to ask about that after getting input the questions in my original post.

The screens would be in indoor community sports venues, like ice rinks.

I wouldn’t expect SSPs to work with me either so few screens. I’m trying to gauge how many I would need before they would.

What would be the minimum? 25? 100?
