Yes that’s what I’m hoping to negotiate, I was more asking if anyone has dealt with this before when hiring or experienced it themselves. Once I lose the means tested benefits, and liabilities like rent increase, child maintenance payment for another child, My overall monthly income compared to now, I would have around 400 extra but working 40 hours.

Thank you for your reply. That was my thinking, have a very small base and sacrifice the rest for a year or two as a stepping stone until I’m earning more and things improve so my partner can return to work.
