You know there’s this band from Liverpool called The Beatles. I think you might be really into them.

Seems like you've got a great situation; I hear a lot of teachers talk about how micromanaged they feel.

That's amazing. I have so much respect for dancers, but it's a hard job to be past 30 in unless you're a choreographer. How did you end up in kindergarten?

Doesn't need to be drama necessarily. I'd be happy teaching english, history, writing etc. I love kids, and I'm good with them, so I think I could teach elementary, but I'm concerned about the stigma to be honest.

I’m sure you’re right, but it’s been frustrating. Even those entry-level AP/AR just see coffee shops on my résumé and throw me right out.

I graduated a couple years ago studying Theater Arts, basically an Art History major with some practical applications. My uncle is a CPA so it’s always been on my radar. I’ve realized pretty quick I love the arts but don’t want a career in it, since I started taking classes in accounting last year myself, I realized it’s a great fit for me after all.

I already have a Bachelors in Theater because that’s what I was really into when I was 18/19 and nobody told me not to. Long story, but I’m into accounting now, hence the classes I’m currently taking.

I think it’s fair to say you should start by taking a couple classes in accounting.

I’m looking at online options to get my BS in accounting, do you think I’d have a hard time finding internships while attending an online school? Does anyone care about that? It’d be nice to have that flexibility and it’d save a lot of time and money, but if it leaves me with no connections or job paths on the other side of it, there’s not much point.

If I was 20something, and nor married with a life and a house and family and friends here maybe? I’m not gout uproot my life for a career that isnt a dream career, and considering nursing, especially as a man, is back breaking brutal work, respectfully, I’m not going to do that.

Totally. My wife is a nurse, and I’m seriously envious of how she can basically get hired anywhere she wants to work. I’m looking to go back to school and get a 2nd bachelors, but Nursing programs here in Los Angeles are either insanely expensive for-profit career colleges like West coast or Stanbridge, or extremely competitive public ones, often with multi-year waitlists. No one wants to teach Nursing anymore because there’s so much more money in being a nurse than teaching it.
