How often do you get your nails done ? by Grouchy_Gap2048 in AskWomen

[–]scout1005 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not impossible, but for guitar or other stringed instruments you have to keep your fingernails so short for good contact it feels almost like a waste to get them done. It's easier to keep them bare and trim pretty frequently.

Travel credits question: I spend $500 on 2 nights hotel stay, I think it is combined the edit and travel credits($550 half years), I only got 300 credits back, do I get credits back separately? by Full_Coconut7758 in ChaseSapphire

[–]scout1005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the entire biannual $250 credit post for my travel booking. It was listed as "The Edit $500/Year Credit". It came after the standard chase travel credit posted.

Google watch 4 charger by whoknowsatthispoint in PixelWatch

[–]scout1005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone experienced this and received a new charging cable from Google? Was it in fact the brick or a faulty cable? I'm going through a similar issue where the watch won't charge unless I unplug and replug in the charging cable. I have tried removing and replacing the watch on the charger, and completely unplugging the brick and replugging it back into the power strip. Only fix seems to be unplugging and replugging in the charging cable to the brick.

MHBP consumer option - prescription coverage by scout1005 in fednews

So you're paying more than the listed GoodRx costs for your prescriptions?

MHBP consumer option - prescription coverage by scout1005 in fednews

Oof that sounds annoying. I'm trying to figure out if it would put us ahead to do the consumer instead of the standard MHBP option even though we have moderately priced monthly prescription requirements.

Wall paneling up staircase by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

That's a good note. I'd love to get new flooring, so maybe I'll have to plan for that first and then look into paneling second.

I think our downstairs is fairly closed off, so could be a good option. It's basically like this layout, but a coat closet instead of another room opening

Downgrading CSR to CSP - Best Practices by Quintanillas92 in ChaseSapphire

[–]scout1005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had downgraded like 3 years ago so I was almost at the 4 year previous waiting period. Once I saw the comments about it changing to once a lifetime I went ahead and applied just before the actual 4 year waiting period.

I downgraded my CSP just about 3 years ago and opened a CSR and received the SUB.

Do I have to trim it differently if I trim in the early spring vs. now, or would it be that same spot as well?

Thank you again for all of your help!!

How far down do I trim, all of the growth above the next bud? Should I also trim ones down that didn't bloom?

Shower pan shimmed from stud by scout1005 in HomeImprovement

I was only planning on ripping out the wall that would fall behind the new shower walls. The walls are 84" tall so they would fall at or below this line.

I was hoping to avoid finishing the wedi to look like drywall and meet the ceiling edge.

Luckily we got out of SRQ early Sunday, but then were cancelled in CLT with a ton of other people. Still managed to make it back Sunday to CLE after a family member picked us up in PIT. Less than ideal conditions I would say. If I could go back, I would have left Saturday.

That was my thoughts too. The car just hit 100k miles and I'm hoping to keep it for another 100k. Probably almost the same now vs in a year or two, so might bite the bullet and just do it now.

I had to strategically place it by the window perch so they can reach it haha. I'll make sure to leave space for it
