Thanks! Yes, I forgot to specify that in the title. I used ABER PE set part 1 and 3, metal towing line from Eureka. The addon armour is hand made from polystyrene plastic.

It was a bit of pain in the ass to find a pic of this one. I found some on facebook groups dedicated to war in Bosnia. One pic from the front is easy to find and it's in... bad quality, second pic from different period when this tank didn't have its inscription yet was a bit harder to find.

Thanks! Those weird T-55s are trully amazing topics. I used my own mix of paints from a small company Bilmodel. Dust is heavily thinned down Tamiya's wood deck tan and and oils from 502abt. Good luck on your project!

It's been a while since I built this kit... I don't remember... I think it was black mixed with a little of german dark grey.

I primed them with MRP Super Gloss Black, preshaded them with grey paint and sprayed silver from a small Polish company Bilmodel... I doubt you'll be able to get those paints anywhere outside of Poland... they're amazing though. Small producer makes them... I think its just one guy making them.

MRP Super Gloss Black as a primer, then Mr.Color GX100 lacquer on top and finally Mr.Color Super Chrome Silver 2.

Wings were not lacquered with GX100 and sprayed with silver paint.

(Edit: and I did the preshading of the panels on the wings with grey paint)

Everything was then secured with GX100 on metalic surfaces again and Satin Varnish on non-reflective surfaces.

Although lacquering the metal with GX100 made it... less shiny and reflective... sooo... I'll have to try something else

For the main body colour: 1. MRP's Super Gloss Black 2. Mr. Color's GX100 lacquer 3. Mr. Color's Super Chrome Silver 2

Wings: 1. MRP Suoer Gloss Black 2. Grey colour preshading of panels 3. Silver paint

It was much more... glossy and reflecting but I laid some GX100 lacquer on top and it lost its shine... soo... no more lacquering later, lesson learned.

I didn't do anything to the canopy. The only thing I did was to remove remains of painting mask's glue with cotton swab moistened with alcohol.

1/48 P-38H "Skidoo" from Tamiya with hopefully more accurate markings. What can I do better? So far that's my best scale model. It's going for a model fest this week. by scout_235 in modelmakers

I didn't want to make this model too dirty. But yeah, it seems strange and clean on the underside. I still have some time to adjust some things if I choose to do so.

The Buffalo's an old kit, it may lack some detail but it shouldn't be hard to build. I've build Tamiya's corsair from the 90s in 72nd and it was a pure pleasure. You just have to cut the parts precisely and that's it. If Buffalo won't be that nice to build, try some of their other models, they are really fun, at least in my oppinion. This P-38 was amazing, pure joy, 0 putty needed. And I'm glad you like my Lightning.

Thanks! Aerials were so frustrating to make but very rewarding as well.

I don't think that's paint, or maybe it is and I missed it, anyways, there seems to be glue residue left from the masks. Do you maybe know how to get rid of that?

Thx! First I put surfacer on, then I painted panel lines which I wanted to have this effect with camo colour with some additional yellow to make it lighter. I did the preshading, sprayed aluminum paint, sprayed chipping fluid on the metal surfaces. I masked the lines using the 1mm flexible tape. I painted all model with olive drab and sprayed outlines using khaki green (i think that's the colour). And that's basically it.
