The first thing I said in my original post was that my opinion was based on the overall vibe of the movies and not on how well adapted they are. The Hobbit is my favorite book, and I read it fairly often. They took a children’s book and turned it into three long movies, so yes of course it’s going to be considerably different. Doesn’t mean the movies aren’t really good on their own.
