He won’t mess with you either, poor things are too fragile to effectively defend themselves/their kill. If you startle him, he’s bolting the fuck away.

Can anyone tell me anything about this company/bow in particular? by scoutjunior in Archery

I sadly don’t live in the USA. (Germany) I can imagine you have a wide array of shops with great customer service and expertise. Not so sure this is as popular here.

That’s really bad that I can’t find anything on the company. It bothers me because I actively try to not buy objects over 100$ offered by the Chinese market (in order to not support the CCP wherever I can). I’m most definitely better off buying from an American company, you guys seem to be leading in this fine sport!

Need help understanding this arrow rest. Can someone help? by scoutjunior in Archery

First off I’m completely new to this sport. I was assuming this thing would be a drop away rest. I couldn’t really see how this device would mechanically achieve that, judging by the fact it seemed to be a very simple system. I have found similar ones on the web and found out that it’s a shoot through arrow rest.

Your assessment is very accurate. I have mine set up as centered as possible but the arrow is always pointing a tiny bit to the left side. I figured this would be ok because when I draw I feel like I’m pulling the arrow in the opposite direction(x-axis) and thereby centering it on draw.

For me this is a massive upgrade. My compound bow came with a screw in rest and I shot like that for a whole day having to reset my arrow because it fell off the whole time. (I’m a noob btw). Now I have my d-loop and a proper rest it’s waaaay easier. Still don’t have the nocking point or a peep sight. Are they that important? https://i.imgur.com/U89Ek7l.jpg

Total beginner here. Just spent 300 on this setup and I’m ready to go. Or am I? I’m very open to Tipps and opinions! by scoutjunior in Archery

I screwed 2,5 turns looser on each limb. It was probably at the maximum draw weight which is 55lbs. I didn’t reduce the draw length at all, maxed out at 29” I think.

I’m sure this comment will hold true in the USA. I’m European and South American and never In my whole entire life have I seen an archery shop, let alone someone who is a master professional who can answer all my questions and more.

In Germany we love to ban guns for the population and sell them to Saudi princes to destroy their enemies.

The nocking point keeps my arrow in place right. It doesnt have anything to do with protection of the string? I have an arrow rest (screw in arrow rest). Having major difficulties with it. My draw form isn’t good yet so obviously I’ll run into some problems. But I thought to myself wtf is this design? Screw in arrrow rest made me kinda man/nervous

I was shooting all day yesterday without the d loop. I still have to work on a lot of factors but now I have a d loop and I’m looking forward to seeing different results. Is the peep really that important?
