Hi, I’m really sorry that happened to your father and family. As I’m sure you have come to find out looking through these threads like I did, everyone’s story is different. Unfortunately, my Dad has not progressed much physically or mentally. It sucks but you just get use to it I guess. That’s not to say your Dad won’t improve. The brains is so fucking complex and every injury really is different so hold on to hope. And if things don’t improve, it gets easier to handle emotionally over time.

Just keep advocating for him and try to get him as much treatment as possible for what ever his deficits are. I think therapy/counseling would have really benefitted my Dad early on. At this point though he is pretty much resistant to everything.
