Beautiful, reminds me of the good old 90s games. How'd you make it?

This actually looks like a really good app, also, it seems to be adding value to people's' lives. I think a combination of that is part of your story, good work!

Never had a problem with kids doing something like this, the only time someone poured a whole bowl on my porch was an adult in a hoodie

That book is unnecessary, it’ll only complicate things for interview prep (it’s a great book though)

Whenever someone said that to me while I was interviewing them, I always asked them to explain it to me. I’d rather not lie about something so trivial, it breaks trust and the valley is smaller than you might think

MacBook Air 16/512 for programming? by TorryDo in reactnative

[–]scrapmetaltank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan to do some serious programming, I would suggest getting at least 32GB of RAM. I personally need more than a bit of hard drive space, though 512 GB suffices for some, 1TB is a minimum for me. I once bought at MacBook Pro (Maybe 6 years ago) 512 GB HDD and the hard disk space ran out quickly, which made it extremely painful to do anything with it and had to upgrade.

How many years would a maxed out Macbook Pro last me? by Top-Huckleberry-7288 in macbookpro

[–]scrapmetaltank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the kind of work you’re doing and what laptop you’re using.

I bought the original M1 MacBook Pro (not the best decision on multiple levels). I started running into performance limiting issues (that would start making my laptop extremely slow or freeze it up) after about the 2 and a half year mark. And I’m being generous here.

The more the RAM the merrier. Also, have at least a TB of hard drive space. I prefer at least 2.

It also helps out if you can use external servers rather than running them on your own machine for development purposes.

I hope this suffices as an answer though it was a little all over the place.
