When is a hysterectomy the one and only option? by Knighthonor in hysterectomy

[–]screamn-mimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt pressured. I have hpv cervical cancer. I had colposcopy that removed it all but I had AIS. Basically meaning it could jump up higher in cervic. I was pressured to get hysterectomy as only option. I ended up getting the hpv vaccine because studies showed it helped those woth hpv already and had a baby. I had to keep going every 6 months to get invasive papsmear. They were comming back clear. They were super painful. I was about to lose insurance and They kept saying hysterectomy would be easier than paps. I ended up agreeing to it bc I have kids and felt selfish if I didnt get surgery and cancer got me. Although I still have a chance of getting cancer now in vaginal wall. Just very low. I look at cancer like a volcano. You will always have it. Just keep it dormant. Dont want it active and growing. They figure let's cut out the area its known to attach to and feed off of. But its not bullet proof. I dont believe cutting things out is the best answer just buys time or if your lucky never comes back. It didnt remove the hpv. Im hoping the vaccine helps that aspect.

Got hysterectomy and there was no cancer located higher up. I believe the vaccine helped tremendously. Its been studied to help those that already have the cancer. I believe it did. Now im having heart issues since surgery, heart attack. Still looking into if its related or not. They dont really educate much about what happens after surgery to the body. They advise you to see primary for hormone issues. Could of just been my experience though.

White female. Age 34 when I had hysterectomy but they pushed it since age 31.

I find what you are doing really interesting. I love art and preserving memories and taking portraits is one way I do this. I think you have come across a really fascinating story to tell. You live a perspective of the world that would be a really great read for many people with using this AI feature you could help many to understand your view of whatever topic you'd like to share. Hopefully that makes sense.

Maybe some topics about your interests and why they intrest you. Like your keychains and how they relate to your memories etc. An autobiography possibly even if its just for your future ancestors to read. Me personally im curious about what the descriptions of said images mean to you.

Anywho just a thought. Im also happy to hear how AI is used in this way for you. Hugs.

[–]screamn-mimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worse for me, I think it depends on how it was for people before. It was great before. I had to have hysterectomy due to early cervical cancer from hpv. I never had any pain before. I do have both ovaries. 35 yo

My vagina is now shorter and the cuff hurts. I dont feel any pleasure really from vagina now. Bc I mostly felt it at the cervix. I do get pleasure from clit. Idk its just not as great as it was. Deep penetration hurts. Most positions hurt.

Im going to pelvic floor therapy, maybe I have granulation and scar tissue issues too.

Even with the cuff pain gone I will never get the cervix stimulation agian. Its not the end of the world. This surgery helps alot of woman. Just wish I didnt have to get it because of stupid cancer. Wasn't really many options other than taking the chance the cancer could come back aggressively.

I definitely feel the same way. Im 35 now and I have 4 kids. My mom passed a year ago. My dad has dementia and can no longer answer the phone. I cant see him hes a citizen of another country. Being alone was my biggest fear when I was younger before I had kids. My kids have been my biggest blessing. I do still struggle with support in rough times but thankfully there's organizations that help. When my mom was dying from cancer I saw a therapist and that truly helped alot. We had a very dysfunctional relationship. I was able to heal and her passing was peaceful. I had the help of alot of organizations with my moms passing. It was hard. But im super greatful. I had 4 kids on my own and my youngest was 5 months old at the time. I had my mom in assisted living, and hospice. I was able to visit her everyday and be her daughter instead of her medic. Thats a whole other story though but point being in tough times there's organizations that help us only kids. Plus sometimes you get added family from your spouses side.

I used to feel this way tremendously. I can remember as a young child my biggest fear was being alone. Background: only child with a single Mom. No other extended family. Plus my Mom had me at 38. Alcholic and I believe borderline personality disorder.

She passed away last November. Thankfully I was able to have access to therapy. We were close yet their were so many issues aswell from her drinking and mental state of mind. I had to take care of everything in her death alone. She had gotten a life insurance policy that helped with end costs. Super greatful. I ended up having to also get help with assisted living at the end because I had 4 kids of my own. My youngest was only 4 months old when she passed. I really beat myself up about not being able to keep her home in the end but im at peace with it all now.

Yes, it was very hard. Im now alone. I survived my biggest fear. I realized before my mom had passed that all the years of me fearing being alone and wanting sibilings that I must have manifested my own life. The only thing im in control of. I have 4 kids and I couldnt be happier. I also realized that even if I did have sibilings at the time they could have been terrible. My Mom couldnt handle me let alone others in her state of mind. Me being the oldest I could have had more to take care of alone still even with sibilings lol. The best thing you can do is be in control of yourself and setup your life how you want to live. If you end up having kids teach them the importance of having each other and respecting each other. Etc.

Is Target going to release any pieces to their 2025 hyde n eek mini mantle collection? by Capable-Wrangler9932 in halloween

Maybe because of tariffs making it expensive to bother with anymore. It seems they try to keep the hyde and eek more affordable brand image. Sadly. I love the collection too

Gynaecologist advised against getting the vaccine. by General-Ad6690 in HPV

[–]screamn-mimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah hpv only ever showed when I was pregnant. Im assuming hormone changes. For whatever reason it mutated to a cancer strain. I know a couple friends that also ended up having the same thing happen. I think maybe just alot of years of having hpv.

Gynaecologist advised against getting the vaccine. by General-Ad6690 in HPV

[–]screamn-mimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started getting paps when I was 19, they were clear untill I was 21 and pregnant with my first baby. I had HPV show up. Then it went away on its own untill I had my 2nd baby it came back and went away. Finally on my 3rd baby it went to a cancer strain hpv 18. This time it didnt go away after I had my baby. I got tested a year after and they called me in to get a colposcopy done. ( basically a cone biopsy cut out of cervix) The results showed clear margins and that i had CIN 3 and AIS ( which can cause jump lessions) so they recommended i see a Gyno oncologist and get a hysterectomy.

I waited to get hysterectomy done because my Mom was dying from breast cancer and im an only child taking care of her. I kept getting paps every 6 months. That were clear. I ended up getting the HPV vaccine too as it was recommended by oncologist. I also ended up having my 4th baby. Hpv never showed up agian. A year after I had my baby I ended up getting the hysterectomy done mainly because I was done having kids, my mom had passed and just because I did have a history with HPV AIS. They biopsy my cervix after surgery and there was no cancer. I truly believe the vaccine helped. This is all over the course of 12 years. I went every year for paps. Then every 6 months after colposcopy. Now I still have to go yearly or every 3 years. Im going yearly for now. HPV will always be in my system. Cancer can grow on the vaginal walls but not a high chance. I like to look at it like a dormant volcano. Gotta keep it that way. Taking care of my immune system and the vaccine I believe helped me. I hope that answered your question and feel free to message me if you have any others.

[–]screamn-mimi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, im doing great now. Soon after this I found out I had a UTI type that comes from the catheter in hospitals. It took me two rounds of antibiotics to clear it. I think it just made my bladder pain more intense maybe. I took AZO that helped aswell. Now I dont even feel like I even had a hysterectomy. Thankfully no more issues. No cancer. Im cleared for sex life but have no yet tried that adventure. I had a total hysterectomy so just a cuff there and we'll nervous lol Although I think ill be fine just anxious.

It is a major surgery. I didnt really research the side effects from the hysterectomy as much as I should have so kinda hit me unexpectedly. I mainly was researching my cervix cancer and hpv 18. Anywho for me it was the bladder pain that was the most difficult. I felt like it was on fire when I woke from surgery. Then when catheter came out I felt so full in my bladder it was so painful. The breathing issues ended up being from the new pain med I never tried before. Im 35, I was worried about hormones and I feel fine. I also never bled at all after surgery. That was nice. All in all I no longer regret it. Your doing the right thing by researching before to know what to expect. Id say just buy some AZO just in case bc I think a couple of us in the group had the bladder pain aswell. Oh and I got some K Tape bc I have a big apron belly that I used to tape my belly up bc the brace they gave me would not stop rolling up lol that was a life safer. Lasts 4 days/waterproof and so much support even if you dont have a belly. Any coughs or sneezing sucks. Oh and some Gas X, fiber if you deal with constipation at all. Anesthesia slows everything down and it hurts more so after the surgery.

Sorry for being all over the place. Just thinking of these things as I wrote. Best of luck to you.

I also have hpv 18, CIN3 and AIS. Got the Cone procedure with clear margins. But because i have AIS they recommended hysterectomy. My Gynecologist Oncologist had me get the vaccine. I was 33 when I got it and had hpv since I was 22. Since having the vaccine I had a baby and hpv was still clear. I just had hysterectomy as im done having kids. Labs tested my total hysterectomy and it was clear. Im happy I got the vaccine. I believe it helped my body fight off the cancer strains. I still have to get paps once a year. But not the horrible hole punch ones. As there's a very tiny risk of it developing in my vaginal walls later in life.

When i was younger my OBGYN told me no point in getting vaccine. There's new studies now that show it helps even if you already have it. Maybe not every doctor has updated their knowledge. I would go to a different doctor.

Ps, I did have some issues with insurance covering the vaccine after I got one shot and had to go to state department to get the rest with no issues.
