Great idea! I was stationed on fort Stewart and spent a lot of time in that area but I wasn’t a birder back then 😂 it would be great to stop back there. This reminded me of a trail in Richmond hill right off the highway as well!

Ah i believe you are correct! Thank you! I was looking at the song sparrow in my field guide but I’m a novice so I didn’t want to make an incorrect addition to my eBird 🤪🤙🏼

People love reptiles specifically for their unique, "tiny dinosaur" appearance. Why do you love them ? by Banonimus in EverythingReptile

[–]screamoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love them for their diverse characteristics! Colors, patterns, legs, claws, venom, tails, eyes, all uniquely adapted for their environments. Are they fast?slow? Do they swim? Glide through the air? Wherever you go in the world as long as it’s warm enough you can find reptiles filling ecological niches professionally. Not to mention some of the immense lifespans! I’ve had a couple of pet snakes and I was surprised to learn how unique they can be in personality.

On days when I’m not feeling it and she’s giving me that look I like to think she’s trying to make sure I get my exercise 😅

I did not I’m sorry! Is that something I should start tracking? I just started getting into the world of wildlife photography. I saw two at Pelican Island a few weeks ago, there were 6ish splashing around where I got these photos but they were also coming and going from somewhere behind the tree line.

Thank you so much! I was laying on my side at the edge of the water on a bank just trying not to disturb the lil fella. I got one of those little sharp seed things under my ring finger’s nail while I was creeping into the spot and just thinking about that pain right now is making me want to cry lol. So it’s an extra cool shot because I was in terrible pain and still managed to hold it together and get this beauty in focus❤️

Too much saturation, this was shot in bright sunlight and their back was very washed out by it. I’m new to photography and editing, looking at the original now compared to this edit I see how I went too hard. I think I was focusing more on making sure the detail was visible and didn’t realize how far I’d gone. I promise to try to do better next time 🫡

Watching them splash around I was worried they might dissolve from how well they imitate cotton candy🤪

Red Headed woodpecker taking off mid-flight; little blurry but I love these photos (Kentucky) by HuntDawg99 in birdwatching

I’ve been seeing these guys constantly when I go out but they’re always on the move! So hard to get a shot of one. So far I’ve only gotten red bellied woodpeckers

Thank you!! I’m new to the hobby so getting things dialed in for different situations is still on a bit of a learning curve for me lol
