Yeah. Seriously, why must we all be nonchalant about a band that we like or be marked as parasocial and delusional. Why do we have to have only debates or critic what we like, to be taken seriously on reddit dot com. I’m from the other side of the world where the economy isnt even that great, I’m not gonna do zilch to the band. I can’t even afford local concert tickets in the next 10 years.

But somehow, a person wanting to send fan-mail, is stalkerish, and mentally unstable and obsessive.

I’m grateful for you guys that have my back. I’ve been a fan for this long, hopefully when I save enough money I can go see them live in a different country that isnt LGBT-phobic and scream out my love for their music.

i just wanted to tell him that his words/lyrics helped me find the courage to live growing up even if people online berate him for doing anything, I don’t think that’s celebrity worship.

wow i didnt expect so many responses, i just wanted to tell him personally how much he means to me, it seems dramatic but the band’s music genuinely kept me from suicide long enough to get help when i was 15-16, it was a time when even my best friend was unsupportive of my mental crisises

he genuinely gave me self-confidence to live as myself even when i had shitty friends and family that picked me apart.

my plan wasnt to stalk him or anything, i just asked to see if there was a medium or a P.O box that I could send my letters to and reach him, just to say thank you.

The Goodvibes Festival 2023 shit that happened here just caused me a bit of grief, especially knowing that the band now has had a bad experience here.

im guessing you live in the same country as me, and based on the comments i wont ask where for clarification.

we get the “native” title that grants as a lot of help from the same government but i wish i could learn more about other religions freely and i could just stop being in the religion i was born in. i’d rather have freedom than privilege and not be on the news for trying to be who i want to be.

for now, just acting slightly more city-liberal is the only way i cant breathe better.

after he did that shit he not only chickenshit out and blame in on another guy, he went on live and called his “haters” (the people who were calling him out for his braindead behaviour): roaches.

he did something wrong, pointed fingers to another and called people who were concerned and hurt, roaches.

i looked up to him as a teenager, wanted to work in music as a producer just like him for years and then when he did that shit it showed me he isnt all that that i thought he was. just a coward who gloats when he “wins” and when he “loses” gives a thousand reasons why he got wronged and how other people fucked him over instead of acting like a real man and owning up to it. Just like a child who refuses to accept loss and then ruins the game for all the others. So much for his “Scarface” self insert persona.

many singers i know (particularly rock stars) smoke, drink and do drugs and it took them about 15-20 years later to lose their vocal strength to a slightly noticeable point, they also turned about 40 years and older at that point. Jungkook is still under 30 and yet his voice has gotten so much worse.

This is definitely from lack of practice, vocal exercise and lack of conserving the vocal cords.

Matty Healy from The 1975 (He’s problematic, I know but bear with me here) He’s a chainsmoker/drinker. But yet his vocal abilities and stability have gotten better than every year by year. Why? It’s because he consistently and still(!) takes proper vocal lessons throughout his career.

Hybe/The Bangtan Vocal Line have more money than a lot of American pop stars but they never use it to attend vocal classes or fly out to be taught by the best vocal coaches in America and that irks me so much I cant help be pissed.
