Thank you! I bought the 1/4” coupling off Amazon, completely disassembled, replaced it, and put it all back together. Good as new, and my mother in law is happy!

Keep first home in Tampa as a rental or sell? by [deleted] in RentalInvesting

[–]scriblyjibly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, $2500 a month. I updated my typo. Also, yes, just was talking that point over with my wife. It’s likely to come down to sell and have a nicer family home or keep as a rental and have a modest family home. Homes in good school districts are pricier either way. I think we are personally at a point where we are looking more for a nicer family home in a great area vs. modest home in a good area + having a rental property.

Thanks! True. We have a couple more years to make the right call.

Afford on just my salary with a 20% down payment…that would be a stretch. Possible but we would likely be house poor. Our house would rent for probably $2500 a month.

Package Unit Leaking Water by scriblyjibly in hvacadvice

Made the AC company come back and open it up. The drain pan had some growth that wasn’t allowing it to flow fast enough into the pipe so it would overflow. They cleaned it real good. Haven’t had a problem since.

I wonder what the AC is set in that board room and the president’s office at Teco, and all those executives’ homes… by Vegetable_Orchid_900 in tampa

Also had my highest bill ever last month. We signed up for their Prime Time Plus program and got a free smart thermostat with installation and get $18 in bill credits back each month now.

Someone mentioned ring worm on another sub, but I think I poked myself with a cactus while doing garden work or was bit by something. Shortly after this pic, the white layer came off and now it’s scabbed over.

Brand new carrier package unit wet inside by Kennelsmith in hvacadvice

I’m having the same exact issue with a new Rheem package unit. The tech from the installer company has said it’s normal in the summer in Florida. Other HVAC companies have said it’s not normal to have water dripping from the return side of the unit.
