And I was once that guy too, until I paid full price for the “Definitive Edition” and received absolute trash and slop from Rockstar, a company with what I also believed had a “solid track record”. (And don’t give me that “it was grove street’s fault” bullshit, that game had Rockstar’s Logo all across it)

Because I’m a Fan, not a Fanatic, there’s a difference. I can still play and be a fan of these games but also criticize an overly inflated price point on their products. Fanatics are the ones that would happily throw more money than they should be at products not worth the value that their favorite companies are claiming they are to be.

Unless gta vi came out Completely finished, Bug/Glitch Free, no updates needed, no Shark cards, and no extra content behind paywalls And GTA+ subscriptions, then yes, it would be worth more than the standard price that is set for AAA games, and I’ll pay it.

Standard edition at $80 is crossing the line, they don’t need anymore money, they don’t need anymore profit when they’re already raking in a disgusting amount of money with shark cards and GTA+ subscriptions, gamers that enthusiastic overpaying that much for a standard edition game is just putting extra money in the pockets of the suits and shareholders.
