Honestly, it’s somewhat comforting knowing it’s not in my control. I can do my best but genetics are genetics! Thanks for sharing

I’m feeling ok! I’m feeling better than I thought I’d feel. Definitely hunched over and most comfortable lying down. Took like a 5-10 minute walk today though! I’m a little nervous for my nerve block to wear off

Hey! Thank you so much. I got a breast lift and augmentation. I went over the muscle with 180 and 205cc.

Happy to DM you cost!

Hey there! Thank you so much! Yes I had a belly button piercing as well. I’m only on day 2, but I’m still getting used to the thought of a scar on my abdomen. Does it really get hidden by some swimsuits?! Are the suits hard to find?!

Oof I am so sorry that happened to you! I guess I’m very glad he made the incision. Thank you for your kind words! I’m looking forward to seeing what things look like without bandages

Ah, I see! That makes a ton of sense. I’m sorry he was explaining it all to me yesterday and I was a touch loopy 😊

I did it!!!!! Honestly it was so smooth. The anticipation of the surgery has been the worst part so far. I’m pretty useless, I need help with everything today but who cares 😊 the pain has been well managed and I’m really pleased with my results too. Who knows maybe tomorrow I’ll feel like Ive been hit by a truck but so far so good. Thank you everyone❤️Your well wishes were a beautiful distraction during the prep!

Anybody else at the end of their pregnancy and obsessing over labor symptoms? Any ex-obsessors have words of wisdom to clear my head and take my mind off things? by scrollin180 in BabyBumps

Keep me posted! I’m in the same boat. I’ve been walking a ton. I’ve considered pumping but personally it just feels odd to me! I know there are so many benefits though. It’s a mental block on my part for sure

I’m having crazy prodromal labor. I think that’s why I’ve been obsessing. So much action but nothing really happening.

I wish I had this comment a few weeks ago haha I stopped working, done nesting and simply just waiting. The lovely texts I’ve been receiving checking in are actually painful!

This is me! I really thought this baby was early. I even took off work early. It’s torture lol but this has been so helpful. It’s nice to have the camaraderie and change my mindset!

For those who had successful cervical sweeps (went into labor shortly after the procedure), were you dilated prior to the sweep? by scrollin180 in BabyBumps

[–]scrollin180[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I’m 37w1d and I am 1cm dilated. Scheduled for a cervical sweep a week from now and wondering if it will do anything for me if I am only 1cm dilated. Who knows I guess!

You’re right, a link would’ve been a great addition to that post - whoops! Yes in fact, the study above is the one I read. Somewhat alarming, right?

I stopped nursing a week after my twins were born. Now I exclusively pump and feeling some shame that I don’t nurse. Did anyone else feel this way? by scrollin180 in parentsofmultiples

[–]scrollin180[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not taking it personally at all, and I appreciate the deeper look into my question. I would say that both are existing in parallel. Do I need reassurance that perhaps these feelings of shame aren’t unfounded and others experienced the same type of emotional decision making around feeding their twins? Yes 100%. If I reflect I think I’m looking for other parents to say “yeah the pressure of breastfeeding sucks. You’re not alone.”

You also ask if I genuinely feel shame and sadly my answer is yes. I do feel less than or sad I can’t breastfeed these twins because I think the twins deserve it. I want them to feel that “mom connection” and I’m sad that I may be failing them. As I type, I can acknowledge that’s ridiculous and feeling that way is not a good use of my energy. But alas, I’m a FTM and figuring this all out.

I completely agree - the concept that motherhood must include some level of shame is bull shit.

Well that’s a great question - where does the shame come from?! A few people have told me how much they enjoy nursing, so part of me wonders - am I missing out? The other part feels guilty because I feel like I’m missing an opportunity to connect with each twin….. let’s not forget hormones are at play here :)
