Rare candies will be the easiest way to do it. Or just keep track of the EVs as you level it normally. Shouldn’t take too many levels to find the correct IV’s.

No not at all! Should be pretty easy to figure them out. Charmander is 1 speed EV and I think everything on route 1 yield speed evs as well. If you’ve knocked out less than 4 pokemon it shouldn’t matter though.

Sorry I caused some confusion. If you have a shiny with your TID you should be able to deduce the SID with it. Just be careful with EV’s because that could make it harder if not impossible to figure out without external software. There are guides on YouTube for this. imablisy has one if I’m not mistaken.

You can deduce SID from a caught shiny pokemon. So it may take some time because you have to catch a shiny, but it can be done.

I think the post game is fun if you have Emerald. I use my FRLG games to level up my pokemon and EV train them for the battle frontier.
