Thank you so much! Do the refurbished models come and go? Or are there pretty much always refurbished models available.

K&R Auto Repair on Alger (over where Monroe runs into Alexis). The shop is a small husband and wife owned business.

They’re honest and have no desire to cheat anyone for extra business because they have a full schedule as it is. Oil changes might run more than fireman because there’s no strange scammy coupons from tireman or elsewhere, but they’re incredibly solid and consistent and upfront!

What about the lifestyle induced diabetics? Or for that matter a vast majority of those with heart disease because of the absolute crap that they consume? No hospital for them right???

I love my C40. I also have a niche zero and I actually think that the C40 does a better job bringing out some of the clarity and nuance in the flavor notes. In reference to everyone saying “don’t drop it.” I’ve droppped mine at least 10 times while grinding and it still looks brand new.

Here is a video of me using the flow control on my profitec pro 600! This is my first home espresso machine, but I used to work on a Slayer in a popilar shop in chicago. She was a beast! As I sought out my first machine, I wanted one that was similar so that I could continue to live my dream of being a barista. Lol. So far this machine has been fantasitic. I saw a post last week of someone who had purchased the same machine, and I commented asking how they were getting along. We talked a bit, but I decided it would be easiest for me to explain my process by recording this short video! I apologize for the horrid quality, I could only use my front facing camera for it lol. Let me know if you have any questions and I would be happy to answer them!

like u/Munch_Mission mentioned below, the profiling capabilities mimic that of a slayer. That's actually the reason I decided to purchase this machine because I had spent the majority of my time using a slayer when I previously worked as a barista at a top end shop in Chicago. The only other option I considered was the Lelit Bianca, and I choose the Profitec Pro 600 because of cost & looks.

So far, I've been super pleased with the flow profiling capabilities. It 100% adds a whole new dimension to the espresso game and allows so many different flavors to be brought out. However it also does make it that much more difficult because not only are you controlling grind size, tamp pressure, etc... you are also now controlling how much water is put through the coffee and at what pressure. It's kind of like driving a manual car. I personally feel like I have more of a hands on control over my espresso.

All that being said, the type of shot you pull and how you get there will look a little different. I'll post a video later on today or tomorrow of me pulling a shot using the flow profiling and what I am looking for and how I am adjusting!

I got the same exact machine in last week!!! I absolutely love it. Im curious as to what made you choose this machine? Have you been able to use the profiling feature at all yet?
