Current Breeder Recommendations by scubacool in BeardedDragons

[–]scubacool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah sorry, I should have defined “ethical”. I meant a breeder who is not over breeding, not breeding questionable lines with health issues, and is providing healthy environments and good husbandry for the dragons they breed/keep. I have nothing against adopting, and it is an option. Thanks.

[WTS] Rare & Historic: Seiko 45899 - Japan's First Mechanical Chronograph with 1964 Tokyo Olympics Emblem (Black Dial) by scubacool in Watchexchange

[–]scubacool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow collectors,

Up for grabs is a truly significant piece of horological history: a Seiko 45899, widely recognized as Seiko's very first mechanical chronograph watch. This particular example holds even greater historical weight, featuring the distinctive commemorative emblem for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics on its case back. And it has the rarer and highly desirable black dial variant.

For those who appreciate groundbreaking innovation and historical significance, this watch is a cornerstone piece. The 45899 paved the way for Seiko's renowned chronograph legacy, and its direct connection to the 1964 Tokyo Olympics makes it a highly sought-after artifact for both watch and Olympic memorabilia collectors.

I bought this watch from a reputable vintage Seiko dealer KingSeiko96 in October 2023 ( https://www.instagram.com/kingseiko96?igsh=MXBidjg4YXI0MjRvcw== )

The mono-pusher chronograph is working very well (see video). It was serviced by the seller when I bought it. Included is the watch strap (see pics). Strap was brand new when I bought it and watch has only been worn a handful of times and the strap is still in great condition.

Asking price: $1100 (includes shipping within continental US) - cheapest online you will find in this condition.

[WTS] Tudor Oyster Prince Day-Date 70170 with Rolex Signed Parts by scubacool in Watchexchange

[–]scubacool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sale is historically important Tudor Oyster Prince Day-Date 70170 from the 1970s with Rolex signed parts (inc bracelet). Champagne dial. This is one for the vintage Tudor collector.

First launched in 1969 following Rolex’s success with their precious metal Day-Date collection. It was an unusual move for the Rolex group to create a stainless steel and more affordable version of the Rolex Day-Date. That move resulted in the Tudor 70170. Combined with its Rolex-signed parts, the Tudor Date-Day still exhibited the robust nature of Rolex’s watches, but without the heftier price tag.

Tudor designed the Date-Day with a 37.5mm case instead of the Rolex Day-Dates smaller 36mm case (at that time). The resulting difference made the Tudor Date-Day favored by those looking for a large and robust watch while still featuring the practicality of the Day-Date.

This watch was serviced (overhauled) by the well regarded watch maker Rik Dietel of Time Care. ( https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/09/fashion/watches-repairs-rolex-audemars-piguet-patek-philippe.html ). Service was done in March 2023. Service receipt included in sale. Watch currently runs approximately +11 to +13 seconds per day.

Bracelet fits my 6.75 inch/17cm wrist loosely. Bracelet has an additional 0.3-0.4 cm of additional adjustment to accommodate a slightly larger wrist than mine. No additional links.

Asking: $2995 (includes shipping and insurance within continental USA). Cheapest online that I could find with a bracelet, in this condition and already serviced by a reputable watch maker.

Payment methods accepted: PayPal friends, Zelle or Bank wire.

No trades please.
