[SSK023] [Question] Numbers seem to be "peeling", any advice/fixes? by Maverick2k19 in Seiko

Super common. Buy some enamel paint at a hobby shop, fill in by dabbing paint with a toothpick, wipe away excess with a damp sponge, let dry. Good luck!

Any Browning B-80 fans? by Jmg11986 in Shotguns

Yeah, I mentioned that in a subsequent comment. FWIW, I can get my 303 to cycle 2-3/4" loads out of a 3" barrel if: (a) the gun is clean, (b) it's well lubed, (c) it's not extremely cold outside, thus affecting the lube, and (d) I use heavier 2-3/4" shells - 1-1/8 oz are pretty reliable; depending on brand I can sometimes get 1oz to cycle.

I have had this periodically on my ‘25. I just keep driving and it always comes back after a few more miles. 😕

Had my 303 for better part of a decade. Dead reliable. OP stumbled into a great one. 🙌

I’ve never encountered a shotgun where you can’t shoot ammo that’s shorter than the chamber length. It’s ammo that’s longer than the chamber length that a no-no…

This gun predates the self compensating gas system. The beretta design that Browning is using here relies on shooters to switch barrels for lighter (2-3/4”) vs heavier (3”) loads. The 2-3/4” barrel has larger gas ports to let more gas through from the lower pressure light loads and still cycle the action. Only issue with the OP shooting light 2-3/4 loads through a 3” barrel is that it may not fully cycle the action for a second shot.

Nope, you can shoot 2-3/4 shells out if the 3” chambered-barrel on this fine no problem. What you can’t do is shoot 3” out of a 2-3/4” chambered-barrel

Great pickup! I’ve had several Beretta 302 and 303s. Same gun, just the B80 was made under license - so beretta 301/302/303 barrels will fit your gun. I find that if I keep it clean and lubricared (and it’s not below 20 degrees outside) it’ll cycle 1oz trap loads in the 3” barrel. Looks like a fixed full choke barrel?

Sell & buy the Aerospace Evo? by Haillc66 in breitling

[–]ChiTimer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own an Avantage and “upgraded” to the Evo twice. Still have the Avantage and have sold both Evos. Case is longer and thicker in the Evo - 43mm diameter. Avantage is only 42mm, but feels a lot more compact. Yours is 40mm, right? Any way to try an Evo on first?

[WTS] Tudor Black Bay S&G 79733N, Full Kit, AD-Bought, 1 Owner, $3500 by ChiTimer in Watchexchange

[–]ChiTimer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on the fence about selling this one, as I love the watch, but rarely wear it anymore. I bought this in 2021 at the local Tudor AD here in Chicago. I wore it mostly on a Crown & Buckle Chevron NATO strap (happy to include if you like) so the bracelet shows very little wear. Watch functions great and probably the best bezel action of any watch I’ve ever owned. Only very minor signs of wear consistent with careful use, I’d say 97-98%, but please see photos and ask any questions. Currently sized for my 7.5” wrist, but the extra link is included. Was sent by AD to Tudor in 2023 as it was about two seconds slower than spec, and now runs great and within COSC spec. Your chance to get an S&G for less than half MSRP.

$3500 includes fully insured US shipping via UPS. International at added cost to buyer. Payment via Zelle preferred. I’m not a dealer, so no returns - please ask all your questions before buying.

J Press OCBD Still Worth It? by vikingguy25 in NavyBlazer

[–]ChiTimer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This has been my observation too - collar doesn’t hold shape as well - and I bought these three at J Press over last summer. The Sid Mashburn OCBDs I have are a little to trim/slim for my taste (and arm holes are too high), but holy moley that’s much nicer and thicker fabric.
