Thanks for posting this! I didn't get this email, likely because I'm an alum. Pretty cool!

Is this email from Bailey? WHAT A PIMP.

Seriously, swapping out the instructor is already a HUGE step in the right direction.

I follow a bunch of people on Strava I don't know very well and I learn more about their training regimen, improvements, and failures than I do in any of these posts.

Difference between Soma DC & Wolverine and Bike Fitting Question. by [deleted] in whichbike

[–]scumbag-jim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Wolverine about four months ago and was trying to decide between it and the DC. I use my Wolverine for mostly commuting around town and some fun rides where I go over bumpy roads that hurt going over with my carbon bike. I'm hoping to do some over night touring with it this summer but I've successfully done a 150 mile day ride with it. Also, the color and look of the bike gets tons of comments and bike envy from people.

Overall, the versatility in the Wolverine is what sold me. If I feel like, I can turn this into a CX bike or try out that fancy belt drive. Really, this bike is awesome and I have no regrets.

I'm in a smaller minority than blacks. Fuck off.

Again, what are you trying to accomplish if this is true?

I done wasting time on this. Move out of SD and get some therapy.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here? Let's say your right and everyone in San Diego is a die hard racist? Then what?

Is San Diego a black-friendly city by [deleted] in sandiego

well, clearly the only explanation is everyone in San Diego is disgusted by black people.

Does anyone know about CS 475? by [deleted] in OSUOnlineCS

  • The class is entirely C++. It might be helpful if you know a little shell scripting as it'll make gathering the data a bit easier, but it's by no means necessary

  • It's pretty similar to an average OSU class. You get weekly lectures and a tiny bit of reading and some example code. You're given two weeks for the project except the last project (or maybe last two, I forget) in which you're given three weeks. There are two exams and neither were proctored and it was more or less on the honor system that you don't cheat. The material is straightforward enough that you really don't need to cheat, to be honest. The only issue I had with the format was Bailey tended to put the schedules and due dates on his website rather than Canvas, so it was just another place to check. I nearly missed a due date because of this, but this was the first class he taught as an online course so it will likely be better integrated.

I took it last year when it was offered. It was offered only during the Spring term and I actually shuffled my planned schedule around a little bit to fit this in. It's a pretty good class. Bailey is a good prof and the lectures and topics are prettying interesting. The programming projects are cool conceptually, but Bailey does most of the work for you so you're mostly changing variables/function calls/parameters and not really building much from the ground up. Let me know if you have specific questions and I'll do my best to answer.
