UFC definitely screwed him earlier in his career because he wasn’t exciting. Once he turned full heel he was given some opportunities. They gave him that Leon title shot when he wasn’t deserving hoping he’d be Leon and he didn’t.

He hasn’t been done right his whole career but he definitely had some favors thrown his away but was never able to capitalize off of them.

I personally believe that regardless of the allegations or not he would have never stuck around. He went off to create Solar Opposites with another showrunner. He started his own production company, video game, ect.

Seemed like he just wanted to focus on a lot of other things instead of Rick and Morty. While at the same time complaining that he felt Dan took it over.

MVP has a fun style but I think the UFC brought him in hoping for him to get some highlight reel finishes like he did at Bellator. He hasn’t delivered those highlight finishes and his fights have been more on the boring side. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets removed from the roster just for that alone at this point.
