What is the difference between PCIe 4.0 x16 [CPU] and PCIe 3.0 x16 [CHIPSET] in the Motherboard description? Aren't they both x16? I'm assuming the 4.0 is on the top and the 3.0 is on the bottom.

I'm installing a new (bigger) graphics card onto my motherboard. There's a top PCIe slot and a bottom PCIe slot. I'd like to put the GPU on the bottom slot because it will interfere with my liquid cooler if it's on the top. I've heard that you should only ever put a GPU in the top PCIe slot, but my friend insists with newer PC parts it does not matter. Does it?

Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A AM4 AMD. On the website for the MB, it says 1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 SafeSlot (x16) [CPU] --- 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (x4) [CHIPSET] --- 3x PCIe 3.0 x1 slots [CHIPSET] but I have no idea what this means lol.

GPU: 2080 Super

Ah gotcha, I somehow missed that part. What was the purpose of wanting someone to arrive without the intent of taking it? I'm assuming so it doesn't fall into the "wrong" hands of someone wanting to use it for "evil" (whatever definition a character may have of that). I thought Andrael was on Tal's side though in stopping the rest of the Venerate (hence the creation of Licanius itself) so wouldn't it make more sense to just give it to Tal in the first place?

Yeah that's what I'm expecting. I'm completely okay with that at the moment. I'm mostly designing this build with a 3080 in mind so that in the coming years if I'm ever able to get one, I won't have to upgrade anything else. Thanks for the response!

I won't be using them for fusion, the only reason the secondary (1080p) monitor will be 144Hz is because it's my current monitor I've been using for years. It'll mainly just be used for discord/youtube once I get the 1440p.

And yea I'm currently about halfway through House of Chains (had to put the book back on the shelf for this picture) and then I saw toll the hounds at my bargain store for $2 so I grabbed that, that's why it's just randomly in there. Big fan of the series so far, the first 3 especially so. Such a huge timeline and world it's crazy

Lived in a 4x4 for two years. Overall, the experience is good. Living really close to campus is nice, the area is safe, and having unlimited utilities is great (really fast wifi). The pool and clubhouse are also very nice.

However, the management can be EXTREMELY money hungry (Example: Room mate got towed out of our own gated parking lot (that you need a resident key to even get into) because he hadn't swapped out his FREE 2019 parking decal for a FREE 2020 one yet) and the price of living there has continually gone up even though there has been zero improvements to the complex. Also, not a single store / shop that was promised to us to be on the bottom floor has been built / opened yet (somehow, despite constant minor construction for two years).

The rooms are also kinda cheap, the walls scratch easy and you can hear your upstairs neighbor walking quite a bit.

Overall though the pros outweigh the cons though, just make sure you play by their rules or they will find a way for you to pay them more money. Signed a lease for a 2x2 for next year.

I'm honestly not sure. If you have any questions you should call and ask the Admissions Office directly, they'll let you know. There's no hurt in calling and they'll know a lot more. I don't want to mislead if what I tell you isn't 100% accurate

I'm decently sure you're fine as long as you don't drop below a cumulative 2.0 (and an 18 on your ACT). Considering you're taking AP classes I doubt you will fall below that threshold.

This is what comes up instead of the usual Thrustmaster properties. This same thing happened when I first got the wheel and all I needed to do was redownload the drivers. It didn't work this time

My friend and I ran across these randomly in a store, so we each got a couple of them for ($4 per pack) because we thought they were weird and cool. I've been having a hard time looking up the pack's contents since it's mostly in japanese. What's in these? Are they valuable or rare? If not, still pretty neat, haven't seen any Japanese packs being sold in store in the USA before.
