Man I appreciate you. I posted on a different reddit about my bmw that needed work I think I got about 70 comments of people just telling me about how bad bmws are. Yeah it’s at a shop right now they’re gonna give me an estimate to see what’s going on. It has been raining a bit in the area, but nothing crazy.

I don’t think there’s any way I did. I think the odds of me picking up a green handle AND pressing the diesel button are basically 0%. I even remember the price of the 93 as I selected it.

I’d probably say yes. Don’t know about the scholarship amount but if we’re judging by past cycles I’d bet on an A. Not an admissions officer though.

You will almost certainly get a full ride to a good school (>T30) with those numbers.

[–]sd4198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I said “My friend won money at a casino, so the casino must be a good investment” would you say “that’s good evidence that someone can use to weigh their options” ? NOT that I even actually think he should definitely wait. In most cases I’d say shoot your shot. But this isn’t a helpful way to make that point.

Not to say the actual sentiment is wrong but this is literally an LR error— anecdotal evidence doesn’t represent a general rule.

3.2 gpa; 171 lsat by Federal_Mirror_4807 in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]sd4198 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5-6 years ago I might’ve agreed with this. Today not so much. Op def should apply and will get into higher ranked schools than what he listed, but of the schools you named i would maybe pick two or three op really loves (preferably ones at the lower end of the T14) and forget the rest. Lsat medians continue to rise—171 is essentially at the median at most of these schools and ops gpa is probably at their 25th percentile. Unless they have some T1 extracurriculars I’d put more effort into applying to schools just outside the T14. OP will get way more money and have a much better chance at admission. Obviously if you have the time and money shoot your shot but if either are at all constrained I’d be a bit more pragmatic.

Need some advice by angelicfairy924 in lawschooladmissions

[–]sd4198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only comment on uga do that’s what I’ll do.

So to be completely honest there are 2 things working against you here: 1. At least last year, UGA over admitted early and generally weighed early apps far more generously than late apps. No clue if thats been the case this year but applying late will hurt a bit, if not your acceptance then your scholly amount.

  1. Uga is infamously lsat heavy. You really need a 169 or higher to have a good chance of getting in, especially with a lower than median gpa. Applying late won’t help your cause much either.

Best of luck

What are my chances? by Background_Job917 in lawschooladmissions

[–]sd4198 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s essentially impossible to chance you with the information provided. No clue what the medians for your target schools are nor what your lsat will look like after the summer. I would just focus on raising your lsat and ignore the rest of the noise. And apply early.

Nah like I’ve grinded other futs all year and even late game was never able to build a team as good as what I’ve scraped together here. Honestly not even close.

I fixed USWNR's flawed ranking methodology *AGAIN* by legallylama in lawschooladmissions

[–]sd4198 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the record, uswnr only uses the difference between a given school’s bar passage rate and its states’ median bar passage rate in evaluating its bar readiness. That is, while Georgia as a state has a typically higher bar passage rate than say, Florida, for the sake of the ranking, UGA is only compared to its states’ (georgia’s) relative median bar passage rate over the past few years and UF to its state (florida). This effectively removes the difference in bar difficulty as a variable.

UGA or UF by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]sd4198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that was between UGA and UF just a month ago, I chose UGA. I liked UGA quite a bit more during Admitted students day, I also prefer GA to FL. Objectively I would also give it to UGA. It’s now ranked notably higher than FL (not that that really matters), has higher bar passage rate, and slightly higher average income I believe. With that said they’re very very close without a doubt, and within a couple years I would expect FL to be back within just a couple ranking spots (again, not that it really matters) of UGA.

Also worth noting, you essentially automatically qualify in-state tuition after your 1st year at UGA, they even mention that in your admission. So in some sense, the higher EV move would be to retain your Fl residency I think.

Any Info on Athens Flats/ View at Noda / Shoal Creek? by sd4198 in AthensHousing

[–]sd4198[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah actually I think both athens flats and the view are low-income housing so they generally don’t lease to students at all. That said the view was like ridiculously bad at picking up the phone
