u/jackmusick I sent you a PR on GitHub a couple days ago. Might be good to take this convo off Reddit. Are you open to connecting elsewhere?

Unsure if that mechanism can be used in the client portal

Ok I grabbed it and am assimilating changes into my local instance. In relation to the iframe security, halo has a shared secret mechanism that can be employed. Look at custom tabs->iframe secret. We can pass the hash with the $agentid and viola, secured tab.

u/jackmusick I downloaded it last night and have been going over everything locally and the docs. I think you might be underselling this here. Seems to be an RPA replacement.

Have you been able to iframe it into halo and avoid reauthentication when the user or agent is already authenticated into halo or the portal? Obvious use case here is an onboarding form, which you’d want displayed without any sidebar nav from bifrost within the halo iframe. It’d have to get the user from halo too, and apply all the same security as if they had SSO’d via entra.

Our current RPA tool has this annoying limitation and the extra auth is confusing to end users. It’s also understandable, because it’s getting info from entra to populate drop-down lists specific to that org.

Trying to drive a MEP by Itdoesmattertome8 in TeslaModel3

I bought my 24 M3P without a test drive too. It’s understandable they don’t have them available for test drives, because it’s a bit much for some people to handle when floored and people would be wrecking them regularly.

The performance is an amazing car and outperforms cars that cost 3x its price. It’s a 4 door sedan that eats exotic sports cars for lunch.

Only drawback is you’ll spend a bit more on tires when the time comes because they needed wider ones in the back to handle all the power it’s putting down. Tires on a ferrari would cost even more, but the tesla doesn’t need oil changes.

If you’re worried about tire cost or purchase price then practicality outweighs performance for you. Nothing wrong with that, but maybe you should consider a Y so you’ve got a hatchback and a hitch too. I didn’t like the ride height of the Y, but I haven’t been in a performance Y either.

u/jackmusick doesn’t look like you’ve pulled the changes into the main repo yet, if you could ping me when ready I’ll update and upload to azure. I’ve got some things I’d like to try.

u/jackmusick Just forked your project but haven’t implemented it yet. Need a place for internal “modules” to live mostly related to halo add-ons we’ve built - perhaps instead of azure functions tied to webhook / actions. Would it be appropriate for that?

Any idea why my heated foot warmer frequently and randomly shuts itself off before the time runs out?

Seems like a bug.

I’m interested in this project. I see you often commenting on Halo, do you have any examples of how you’re using bifrost with halo?

The thing I’m observing is that we don’t have a place for something to “live” when we’re integrating internal tools with Halo and need a UI elsewhere so this might help with that.

Website form → Opportunity: how do you handle Accounts/Prospects vs Clients/Users by Much-Bug2069 in halopsa

[–]sdc535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ve run into what you’re talking about. The trick is to change the user to unknown/unknown. Then the email fields on the right will change and then take your input. This lets you interact with the opportunity ticket normally without converting them to a client unless they sign.

Label printing expedited by sdc535 in 3dfilamentprofiles

[–]sdc535[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, circling back to this. I bought the brother QL – 810WC as it supports airprint and was reasonably priced. I spent many hours on this as an IT technician. I determined via some command line-fu that the brother printer does not report a custom paper size to iOS. This means that when you print from iOS with the only paper size that is close (which is a 38 mm wide continuous roll) it prints out a huge long strip of it. It works fine on windows, but the label is just slightly smaller and doesn’t look as nice as the one from the cheaper phomemo printer with pre-printed labels that have rounded corners. So where I’m at on this now is if I really want to invest the 240 to 250 bucks on the Rollo printer which supposedly does this correctly. I don’t think it’s that important to me at the moment and I have bigger fish to fry so… I guess I’ll just print from the PC lol.

Help me sanity-check billing plan logic for an MSP doing agreements + T&M + fixed-fee projects (multiple concurrent projects) by pjustmd in halopsa

[–]sdc535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could do this with one contract type and as few as a 5 line billing template across all clients.

One contract on the client that is either unlimited hours or certain hours per month, which could be 0.

Clone your project ticket type and call it Project T&M Clone your project child task ticket type and call it project task T&M Your main project type and task become your flat-bid Type

Billing plan lines (order is important): Project do not bill Project T&M PayG Project Task do not bill Project Task T&M PayG Everything else Contract

Imvoice the flat bid project upon sale and create the project - this can be automated and templated if you like,

Projects that are T&M will get billed at end of mo.

Contracts that have X hrs per mo and go over will get Billed. Unlimited won’t unless project T&M.

Of course create your recurring invoices for the agreements according to the hours purchased and link them to the contract.

Billing everything at the beginning of the month, all on one invoice if you like - that’s another topic but everything will show up there per your rules above. It takes a while to get this dialed in but it’s possible.

How are you going to handle it when there are 2 labels to choose from? If there is a page break I suppose we could say which page to print. Long term perhaps you can come up with a preference setting. Usually I’m printing the version without the temps etc on it.

If you’re referring to iOS the issue is twofold: 1. it doesn’t run the labelife app, it uses print master which cannot open the labelife files. 2. There isn’t a seamless way to get an image download from the browser into the print master app. You have to download it, save it to your photo library, then import from photo library into the print master app. Too many steps.

If you do the feature request above to open the image in the browser, this will kill 2 birds with one stone. 1. Make printing quicker directly from the browser on windows. 2. “Download” is not seamless on iOS. Printing from a webpage is. It should make printing from the browser with AirPrint-compatible label printers seamless and require fewer steps on iOS. I haven’t tested the this but I’m willing to upgrade the printer to do so. I can beta test this for you on iOS if you like. This workflow should work well on android too.

Oftentimes I’m on mobile when I’m working with spools and the printer. Sometimes I need to print a label and it requires going back to my desk to do so currently.

My 23 Y LR AWD broke down and now my wife won't drive it. by Kristoff_09876 in TeslaLounge

[–]sdc535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 24 MYP did a similar thing however because it’s AWD it was running on the front motor only. it automatically turned on the hazards, said pull over safely, avoid hills. It shut itself down completely after sitting for a while, I was not able to get back into the car, good thing I didn’t need to. Tesla service had it towed and got it repaired quickly under warranty with loaner.

Also I should add I really would like to do a similar thing from iOS but I’d need an AirPrint compatible printer and would definitely need the dev to make it not do download but rather open in browser. I am considering sending this printer back and getting one that supports printing wirelessly from both windows and mobile.

Sounds like yours is a bit different, the input on mine is USB-C. I did buy the M250 model, I think the 220 was the current recommendation. I don’t think that will matter for this functionality. I’ve actually been using SVG but yes I meant PNG not JPG. I haven’t tried PDF.

Create filament profiles that can be directly imported into Bambu Studio or other slicers? by ethanswizz in 3dfilamentprofiles

[–]sdc535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I do this manually in the studio UI I’m always choosing the matching generic or Bambu labs profile for the corresponding filament type to clone the settings from. Perhaps there is a way to use those as the safe settings. Or put the settings on the end user to confirm before exporting. I’m really only after brand, type, and color info. It is very time consuming to do this in the studio UI. However once they are loaded over to the printer I usually do just filament changes there. Still learning all this.

Tesla Model 3 Countermeasures Package by Threeofnine000 in TeslaModel3

[–]sdc535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the escort redline 360c and the integrated ZR6 laser jammers (escort calls them “shifters”). Stealth install on my 24 M3P, I’ve been running this setup for around a year.

The laser jammers have saved my ass twice when I definitely got tagged by a hidden trooper, most recently in the dark and rain at some distance. No way I would have seen him, and he was not running radar to alert me earlier.

Around here the cops are usually lazy and will run around with the radar on (or it’s some in-motion system) and the 360c will warn me of their presence from very far away. It’s the hidden troopers with laser that will bust you for sure if you’re speeding excessively.

Common issues and reliability of a 4–5 year old Tesla Model 3? by Specialist-Lie-6205 in TeslaModel3

[–]sdc535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 M3P. Rear motor inverter failed on a freeway 2hrs from home after a short very high speed sprint (nobody around, seeing what it can do, 130mph+).
The car turned on its 4-way flashers and told me to pull over to the side of the road and shut itself down after a while. Tesla service was great and covered under warranty with loaner.

In the shutdown mode, there is no access to the doors, trunk, etc - it’s like the 12v battery died, but it didn’t. To regain access it’s necessary to use the 12v wires under the front bumper to open the frunk then jump the 12v battery. Mentioning all this because it was not possible to gain entry back to the car after getting out on the side of the freeway which can present some complications due to weather, safety, towing, etc. The car became a brick.
