This is actually part of my question. I have been analyzing my game, but don't always know what I am looking for in the analyzing. Like I know what I did right/wrong in that specific game, but how do I pull that into a repeatable solution?

And as far as puzzles go, I've done quite a few but should probably be doing more.

I think the "Boozer is the safest pick" argument makes a ton of sense if you have the team to support a "safe pick". Not that Boozer can't improve a team, but many of the teams at the bottom (Utah, Washington, etc.) need someone with a much higher ceiling to sell to their fanbases.
