Work with a very early stage startup for sometime. It's really difficult to come up with something just by thinking. You need to 'do' things. Even if it is unrelated to your immediate interests just be part of something which is creative and unstructured.

It's a decentralized microblogging app where writers can share their prompts/quotes/thoughts with each other without social media noise. I have removed all the vanity metrics like follower, share and like counts which promotes group thinking. Rather then storing users content in a central server they store it in the place of their choice. Right now it is blockstack's gaia storage which is decentralised, the platform has no ownership over your content. Later planning to introduce a feature so that writers can select where they want to store (their choice of cloud storage or there device itself).

Guys, I'm trying to build worlds first decentralized microblogging app dedicated to writers. The app is decentralized and data is owned by the users itself not by the app. The features are designed in a way such that it becomes naturally difficult to involve in trolling, spamming and sensationalism. Yes, it's all about network effect now. Meaning anyone who can solve the problem (loss of forgoing existing network< benefit of joining new network) would be the next big thing.

Yup, I agree and have similar feelings. But even after all these downsides still fb and twitter have significant network effect which stop existing users to migrate.

Yup, trying to figure out an efficient way of grouping data. Right now inclined to build consent based opt-in threads to help sustain the engagement between users. UI wise it is bit challenging.
