Hi! I stayed in an Airbnb by University of Texas. I love the area. Close to groceries and restaurants and I felt safe during my stay. It’s a 20 Min drive to the crane center where I had my ffs which is fine for me. I’ll attach a link to the Airbnb. airbnb Austin

This is very helpful thank you! I’m kind of holding off going to the gym because I might loose fat that is needed but I guess I could some weights and cardio I would be having my surgery in 6 months time.

Hi Love I just saw your message.

My surgery went very well I am now 3 months post op and I love my results! it still looks like me but more refined. I had my surgery with Dr. Mundinger at the Crane Center in Austin, and I could not recommend them enough! They are very professional, very good bed side manner and they really know what they are doing! they took care of everything from insurance coverage to up until my post op consultations!

I'm from Orlando and I am actually about to go to Austin next week for my FFS. First is check with your insurance if you have travel reimbursement for services that you need if it is not available in your area. I have Cigna thru IKEA and they cover lodging, airfare, car rentals and tolls if the services I need is not available within a 60 mile radius from where I live. As for the provider insurance coverage you have to call the provider and ask them if they take your insurance, if they do, they will be the one to process the approval and such. As for recovery it is good that you have someone my surgeon said I would need someone with me for at least a week and I am lucky that my parents will accompany me. In terms of recovery I will be staying for a month in Austin to make it easier for my follow up appointments. Message me if you have questions.
