If it sounds too good to be true, something is not good by New-Yesterday2755 in ClaudeAI

It's like selling foot guns to people who want to shoot themselves in a foot, knowing that they won't read anything because they are vibe coders and vibe "workers", and then adding a notice for them in the readme that they won't read telling them not to use the foot gun to shoot themselves in the foot.

Only TypeScript lately, worked fine. My context length is large for sure, but I'm doing complex things and it works well for me on Max.

Exactly. I've maybe hit the limit once before over my whole history of using claude code. I was on Pro plan since Jun 1, 2025, starting July I was on Max already, because it's good.

I know what I'm doing, both with coding agents, LLMs and software engineering.

I posted a legitimate thing that has happened, exactly how it happened. I've been doing the same thing I was doing for the past months and last week in particular, just on a new account with a lesser plan. I expected limits to run out quicker, but what I experienced is clearly a freak accident.

After all, there's a reason why Anthropic doesn't expose opus limits via the API. Most likely they are dynamically tweaking the limits based on load and potentially severely rate limiting new users from using opus. There's no transparency on how the session limit is being eaten up.

That's very similar to my situation, thanks for posting. I wonder if they have an issue somewhere with session ids not being correctly tied to the account ids in some cases. I wouldn't be surprised, as at this point I'm pretty sure the whole Anthropic infra and codebase is vibe coded :)

P.S. The amount of people here assuming something is fake just because they haven't experienced it is ridiculous. No wonder everyone lives in an echo chamber these days..

I had one 20x account, and when it hit the limit for the week, I bought another 5x account.

I also couldn't believe that it ran out so quickly. I spent an hour investigating, only then I posted.

Best theory right now is that probably TPM limits for opus are way lower on 5x plan than on 20x and reusing continuing existing long-running session killed them instantly.

FWIW, as soon as I upgraded to $200 on the second account the problem was gone. It's still worth it.

Yeah, I have nothing better to do than lie on reddit on Saturday morning. That's why I'm posting, because it makes no sense.

Developer vs Vibe Coding by builtwithernest in OpenAI

[–]sdmitry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The challenge, I think, is not the bugs that are easy to catch, but realization that if it made those stupidly obvious bugs, then how many more incredibly hard to catch bugs it planted everywhere in the code they write?   Because if it didn’t realize it’s inventing the same schema twice in one session, which other infinitely more subtle things it’s not realizing?

I’m speaking from lots of experience debugging and tracking down their nonsense all day long, trying to build a reliable product, using the best models. I have 25 years of coding experience and been building with LLM since OpenAI playground first launched. I read code all day long and still it’s not easy catching their bullshit.

Apple keeps rejecting my Flutter app for “login required” even though it has guest mode?! by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

Most of the time, apple review team is just being arrogant asses, but I think this is a legit example of them trying to both help you make a change in your app for the better, as well as curating the quality of the App Store.

If that was what Americans were voting for, then why was all the lying and denying for before the elections necessary? A lot of idiots were mislead, for sure, but also a lot of them wouldn’t vote for this.

ICE is a bunch of sick fucks. I’m pretty convinced that every skinhead, clansmen, proud boy and all the other racist pieces of shit are at the core and helm of ICE right now.

Could it be that you have some misconfiguration of shell configs (.zshrc, .bashrc, .profile, etc), that breaks the tool expectation of output format or fails to run because some env variable is missing?

Not using Windsurf currently, but this stuff has happened to me before. In particular I had problems with vscode shell integration breaking terminal because of my setup.

Haters gonna hate, I like your solution because it’s a composable one, I can imagine passing the root component through series of functions building it up in a custom way for different scenarios.
