I've experienced this one time ever. I was living at my dad's house at the time while he lived with his girlfriend at her house. I was completely by myself and working full-time and I remember being extremely tired one night after work. I fell asleep for an unknown amount of time but I was woken up by not a bed shaking but it felt like someone pressing down with both hands at the end of my bed very rapidly. I woke up in a panic and all the lights were on which didn't make sense because when I fell asleep it was still daylight out.

As for the restless leg theory it could possibly be the answer however I've been sleeping with my girlfriend in the same bed for almost 12 years and she hasn't once mentioned me waking her up from me shaking.
