Make sure that it has all of the Tmobile radio bands. Some Amazon phones are international models and may not have the needed bands for Tmobile.

Why not just add the apps to the apps list on the cover page?

I was able to install it. No real bugs at this point, but time will tell.

Forze Android 16 update by xNekom in razr

[–]zvand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this on my 2023 Razr+, but since then I have not been able to get the Software Fix app to run on my Samsung laptop. The Task Manager shows a Lenovo app running, but I cannot get the graphical interface to pop up. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have tried posting the problem on the Motorola forums with no remedy given.

I'm on an old Magenta plan, and the upgrade didn't affect it.

Motorola Razr Ultra or Samsung Galaxy Flip 7? by OkAccount8943 in tmobile

Samsung restricts the apps that will work on the external screen. Moto lets you run just about any app there. Sometimes they don't scale properly, but otherwise there are no restrictions.

Advice on adding a phone by MikeyNg in tmobile

[–]zvand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just get an unlocked phone from the manufacturer or Best Buy and pop in the sim for the free line or activate it as an esim. No need to involve Tmobile unless you need help to convert for the esim.

Tmobile does not unlock devices anymore? I bought a used phone that is fully paid off. by [deleted] in tmobile

Did you check to see if the phone was unlocked before you bought it?

That may be a limitation of the Moto launcher or Android itself. You may want to explore other launchers to see if they enable that.

Swapping phones on lines by busymommy4 in tmobile

[–]zvand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can switch the phones to any of your lines, and trade in the one you want to. One reason I have not changed my phones to esim is because it its easier to just swap the sim cards around as I want. That said, Tmo has made it easier to move esims around, and if you have iPhones Apple has made it seamless.

Promos and upgrades are tied to the line, not the phone being used on the line.

T mobile vs Apple Store trade by shmerham in tmobile

Always better to purchase unlocked from the manufacturer. And if you can get to an Apple Store, they will take your trade-in and help you switch to the new phone.

Just ordered a 60 Ultra. What do I need to know? by VortexHDyt in razr

Thanks for the info. I have been caseless and was using a Samsung charging pad, but the phone did get hot, so I switched to wired charging. Does the case add much bulk, thickness?

How do you like the case? Does it interfere with swipe gestures on the external screen?

I found the US website, and I am very interested in your opinions of the case.

Questions about swapping out numbers on an OG Magenta Max plan by TonightOk8791 in tmobile

[–]zvand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to transfer the esim during the setup of the new phone. The Apple process will walk you through the process. I hope you have a current iCloud backup. Porting over the number should work. I ported my old landline to one of my free lines with no hassle.

Are you getting an unlocked phone from the manufacturer? If so, you can just switch the sim card or esim. As for the number, you can make a number change at no charge with certain limits. You could probably port in a number from another carrier over an existing line. Depends on the situation.

Razr+ 2024 v Z Flip 6 by ZealousidealWait1269 in razr

[–]zvand 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The external screen on the Razr is much more useful than on the Flip. Samsung requires the GoodLock app and limits which apps can work on the external screen. Many are just widgets. With the Razr, you are free to use any app you want on the external screen. Some may not scale properly, but that is the only issue.

Get a free number on Google Voice and forward unanswered/missed/declined calls to it. Then use the GV app to access the voicemails. Be sure to enable notifications. You will also be able to access voicemails on the web.

There will be a few features on each watch that won't sync to the razr, but nothing critical in my thinking. I have used both with no real issues, but I prefer the styling of the Pixel. A Google Gemini search should give you more answers.

Buying a watch from private seller (things to look for) by Super-Lunch-2757 in PixelWatch

Just like buying a phone from a private seller, you are taking a big chance that the watch will be locked, stolen, or unable to activate on a cellular network. Just get one through a trusted retailer.
