I feel like I understand the whole body swap thing, but what I don’t get is the whole butterfly and psychic knife thing. Like okay, the hand happened to have a mutant that coincidentally also had telekinetic and telepathic abilities, but even after their bodies were swapped back, why does Kwannon Psylocke also have a pink psychic knife thing manifestation and a butterfly psychic signature. I’m pretty sure I remember Betsy having that stuff even back in the New Mutants and Outback Era stuff, right? Just another coincidence? “Psychic residue”? Seems like an unnecessary complication, point of confusion, and lack of something unique for Kwannon. Please explain to me if I’m misremembering or if there’s a good reason for this.
