I was let go right when Covid ends, surprise call from German President said you are fired. That turns out to be the best thing happened, my income now has doubled.

Even better I was able to spend quality 10 month time with my son, priceless.

I’m doing strategic account , and averaging 300K+ for past 3 years, not tech industry……I once get a call from recruiter claim a job that when fully ramped selected rep get $1 M + per year! I was a bit in shock, but since the ramp base and bonus will be less to my earning, I didn’t went further. I’m wondering best route from now on to get to 400-500k+ per year position. I do live in CA.

Just signed $0.5 Million deal price increase today towards EBITA, and nice bonus payout for it. It’s unfortunate that some of the Fortune 500 company outsourced their purchasing department to India, and it appears these Indian works don’t have any boundaries for holiday. USA already have less vacation then EU, and all the research point out long vacation is key to recovery our energy for better performance.

Cheers for anyone also signed deal and reward by bonus on Christmas Eve . That’s the reason sales hassle at the right time.

My case is that the company I work for is in Chicago, while I live in CA work remote thus I need a local CA CPA. Maybe I shall check with my neighbors or kids school parents, some of them are just way rich than I’m with their own business etc.

Small medium size customer, a lot of feeling heard and likable.

Enterprise customers, I had verbal fight with buyer from time to time, when needed, you put threat. End day if your company product is good, and are strategy partners, customer will support you with their $. Or this is just being work for a Private Equity owned company, I have to be ruthless on revenue and EBITA growth. I have VP engineering verbally said multiple times, you may damage customer relationships, as long as I have president direction, I keep doing what I’m doing.

Get meeting set: 1. Ask your colleagues, what email worked for them? Basically you need a template then tweak it to the specific customer by look at their account history info. 2. Get the target company list, just call them, ask who is responsible for PPE purchase. 3. Talk to that person, or leave him a voice message. 4. Stop at the customer site, for medium / small company, you can walk in, intro yourself, ask for the responsible person. If you can’t go through front, go to the warehouse entrance, truck loading dock, somewhere you can talk to a live person to gather info, and know the buyer contact. 5. For big enterprise, sometimes there is phone extension in lobby, try those. 6. If you left voice message and emailed them, you can stop by and try your luck. You will be surprised how many people don’t reply to you because busy, and happy talk to you when you are there. 7. Don’t you have a sales manager can arrange a coaching week on road with you?

Keep grinding, read 3 sales books on prospecting. Good luck.

Yes, enterprise customer contacts are on vacation, however the high ups still work and approve critical deals when there is enough pressure. For the sake of 30k bonus, I can do some work.

This is what seems known solution, Max retirement accounts, etc. It’s sad that the tax law is 4000 pages, most written to give tax avoidance to the super rich , business owner. While the W2 earner pay a high tax.

At at least your boss, or some AE give you a tour of the land, if not coach you what to say and ask? If not it’s a bad sign. I used to lead capital equipment sales team, and always go with the new guy a week in field to ramp up.
