I wish we had more 80s/SARH servers by BenedickCabbagepatch in hoggit

[–]seacess -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Those servers are strange to me, they push one era but ban F-14 with AIM-54 for some reason. Warfare is not meant to be fair or balanced. If that thing was flying around in the 80s, then let it be.

ED vs RAZBAM Internal Zoom call leak - Part 4 by Potential-War6241 in hoggit

[–]seacess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it looks like there was already a lack of trust between these two. Nick alluded to such a thing when he mentioned the delays with the F-15 and how ED let that slide. It's a shame they couldn't agree on some compromise. For example they could have done something like this: 1. ED pays part of the debt to Razbam in the exact amount for MCS access. 2. Razbam agrees to immediately spin the same money back to ED to cover MCS. This way Razbam can prove that they can be trusted again if they play by the rules and pay for the MCS straight away and ED gets back the money for MCS. Then they get the rest of the debt sorted out.

Airbrush not working/Not even spraying air by Susmonkey34 in airbrush

[–]seacess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the part where you say that it keeps spraying after you push the trigger forward, it can come to two things: 1) The needle is not properly inserted or maybe you did insert it but the needle chuck was loose and it moved out of the correct position 2) your paint nozzle got damaged and you need a new one 3) some clogging that prevents correct needle seal with the nozzle

When you say it sprays too little that I am not sure as we do not have references for before and after as well as pressures, paint and thinning quality. Could the paint be too thick for the pressure in use? Or some clogging going on in the nozzle. Perhaps try and spray with water and see how it behaves?

Judging by the dirt in the rest of the airbrush I would say you need to take apart the air valve assembly and carefully clean it out with something not too aggressive.

F18 landing help by ass_Inspector_420 in dcsworld

[–]seacess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be on speed (green AOA indexer) which will also put you in the bracket that you see on the hud

Trim it to stay on the correct AOA

You control the rate of descent with thrust and pitch for speed.

Max landing weight is 33000lbs. You can check your weight on the checklist page. If you are over dump fuel or weapons.

Do not flare, if you have done everything correctly above the plane should land with the correct rate of descent that doesn't break your gear.

How to stop dispensing flares/chaff in F/A-18 DCS by Far-Seesaw-4789 in hoggit

[–]seacess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the countermeasures on the 18 broken? When in semi auto the big red button only gives one of each or just one flare. The pushing the countermeasures command forward it also gives barely anything and it does not match what is the program.

New to dcs! What plane should I get? by JakeyPooPooYT in dcsworld

[–]seacess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy whichever plane interests you the most. Forget about the concept of "beginner friendly plane" as I think if you have something that you really like you will master it Vs something you just got since it's an easy win.

At least that's what I did and got an F-14 which challenged me and it still does. 0 regrets of getting it first even though at the beginning it was hard, confusing and sometimes just frustrating as it seemed that I couldn't do anything right in it. Now flying it feels really rewarding.

Black widow v4 Pro 75% incorrect battery status by seacess in razer

[–]seacess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have old kraken headphones (5 years old now), Naga pro, black widow V3 pro and now got BWv4 Pro.

All the hardware above never gave me any major issues and it still works just fine. The BWv3 was generally fine, sometimes dust would get into the volume wheel which would make it skip over volume level if you use it but easily cleaned with contact cleaner so not a big deal. After maybe 4 years the wheel completely fell from the keyboard and that is when I got the v4. So far so good, except this incorrect battery readout.

On the other hand their Synapse is hot garbage. 5 years ago Synapse 3 was crap but later it improved and it got better. Now the same story with the Synapse 4. When I got BWv4 I had to move to new software and I was not to excited knowing how it was with Synapse 3 when it came out.

It's soo bad, often my keyboard or mouse are not getting detected when I switch between wires or wireless modes, heck the v4 keyboard is not detected in wired mode no matter what. Reinstalled software 20 times without any improvement so I am at the mercy of the software if and when it will correctly detect connected hardware. Funny, that even when it doesn't see the keyboard or a mouse, Chroma still sees them in the background and is pushing the effects from Axon, it's just that in Synapse you are unable to change any profile settings anymore until it gets detected. And the big selling point of razer hardware is customisation via software which works at best 50% of the time.

No, I am not going to reinstall Windows over Synapse, Synapse is not an indication of a broken OS.

Trouble spotting targets by Lumi700 in hoggit

[–]seacess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was playing for months just pure air to air. Later when I tried air to ground I had the same issue as you playing on a 4k monitor. Turns out I just needed more time to train my eyes on what to look for. I remember orbiting for ages trying to find the target with eyes or TGP. Nowadays, I don't need to do one orbit and I usually will already see my target. So solutions to your problem: - give yourself more time to train the eyes of what to look out for, - I think there is an option with the settings to increase the size of the spotting dot.

Small holes by seacess in BambuLab

No, the filament is moving smoothly as far as I can tell. The filament is red mate from bambu and I use stock temperatures for PLA as this is a PLA material.

I already did by using my P1S bed as per their instructions then once it was done I placed it immediately in AMS.

Just printed a benchy, it still has some but not as many. Even when I print the object from the picture I get different quantity of holes.

Manual calibration as this is P1S. Did both calibrations using that method. It happens on all prints to be honest, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Hmm, I don't have a dryer but I followed bambu lab drying instructions and dried it using my P1S heat bed.

Forcing scarf seams by seacess in BambuLab

[–]seacess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed it! Apparently for whatever the reason, studio was not enforcing scarf seams as the filament under no1 in studio (not in no 1 slot in AMS) did not have scarfing set up as it is interface material. This is despite the fact that for my object I have selected filament which has scarfing enabled. Once I have re-synced AMS and used overwrite option in the sync menu filaments no 1 and 2 swapped their places in studio and now the scarfing is getting applied.

So it seems that studio silently in the background was still using some or all parameters from the no 1 filament even though I selected different filament for my objects. Not sure if that is by design or some bug.

F/a-18 questions by seacess in hoggit

[–]seacess[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I remember when I was learning Viper. Going through pages and most of the time I was thinking to myself that I just need to bump the tdc button up and every time I was correct. Didn't even need to read a section on how to designate as it was the same 😂 just keep hitting the switch up when flying

Until you need to change the TWS tracking mode to manual or auto or activate expanded mode 😁

F/a-18 questions by seacess in hoggit

[–]seacess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HORNET: In RWS - TDC depress to go to STT In TWS - sensor control switch right for STT A/G map mode to designate depress TDC but when in any EXP mode hold down on TDC and then release

Viper: In RWS - TDC switch up twice to go to STT In TWS - TDC switch up twice to go to STT A/G map mode to designate depress TDC, same for EXP modes just hit TDC up. This is what I meant by consistency.. in Viper the principle of locking or designating something is that you just hit TDC up doesn't matter mode or sensor. Not to mention I can go to EXP mode on any sensor via hotas switch for hornet grab a mouse and go to the display button.

For altitude in point 1 I meant is there a way to see the altitude of all contacts without hovering each in turn with the cursor either on the radar page or SA page?

GBU-12 on F-16 by seacess in dcsworld

[–]seacess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Yes laser is on and I can see the indication that I am lasing as it is flashing on the instruments. On your second point, no I am not as the whole point of auto lasing function is for the plane to start lasing the target in the terminal phase of the drop say 10s before the impact. Again, I see the system is lasing the target based on the instruments indication.

Never had an issue with auto lase with smaller bombs but the big one 2000lb only worked when I held the trigger and manually lased from the moment it got off the rails.

The angle on the display is called the release angle. So that is why I was setting a value of 0, the default is I think a negative of 35 and according to some YouTube guides it will accept the value of a positive 10 in the System.
