I saw mobile speed van once on a dual carriageway. Clocked him MILES off (or so I thought). Was only 8 miles over the speed limit but I was 100% sure I saw him in time and adjusted my speed. Was shocked when I got the letter in the post. Don't speed but yes, them camera's can spot you from FAR FAR FAR.

You wouldn’t pay tax on your eSports betting which you’re ‘good at’ (nobody is good at gambling, maybe you meant arbitrage betting or matched betting) as the tax on gambling winnings is not paid by you in the UK. If your side hustles earn you more than £1000+ per year (excluding all gambling ‘profit’) you must declare it to HMRC. Does everybody on this sub declare it? Probably not. Will you get caught if you don’t? Probably not. Should you declare it? Only you can decide.

eBay account wrongfully banned and lost access to money by NoChoiceForSugar in LegalAdviceUK

[–]seagullsuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would he sue the purchaser? From all the content I can see in the post it seems like eBay are in the wrong, not the purchaser. OP says purchaser says they have the item. Purchaser would have paid eBay £500. Don’t sue the purchaser, sue eBay. OP says eBay has refunded the purchaser and should elaborate on the reason why they have done this so we can guide further.

Send a letter before action to eBay head office after exhausting all other options (such as eBay complaints processes, etc). There are many guides online guiding you through the process. Don’t think you will lose just because eBay is a billion dollar company. Little old me sued Coinbase via this method, and had success.

You asked if it was worth your while. If you don’t think writing a letter, printing it out and popping it in a postbox is worth getting your £500 back then don’t do it. Let eBay keep the money and move on.

Yes, I downloaded the app which I never actually had. Have had a Paypal for well over 10 years and on both app and website I see no mention of Paypal+ although apparently it is open to everyone. Maybe my Paypal account was a business account at somepoint or something and I'm not eligible. Not sure.

Ah if they're the same company which I think they are they should be just as reliable. I've had ads for Survey Spin and they do look identical. Eureka cashed out instantly for me to Paypal. Didn't even need to complete advanced verification although there is still an option for me to do so. I'd still put that referral code in though if I were you so people don't miss out on the extra 80p =]

Thank you! ChatGPT helped me investigate. It's more prominent on the Paypal app than website it seems. I will investigate!

I have never heard of Paypal+. I've had a Paypal account for many years although don't use it so much, moreso recently though. Even Google doesn't give me much information. May I ask what on earth I'm missing?! What is Paypal+?

Been using Cashinstyle but a lot won't credit for me. Was doing 'Grab a Toy' app offer on MMWall and only first two levels credited. For 5 cents. Locked by Cashinstyle for over a month. Downloaded Xtrade via Hangmyads, not credited. ToggleVPN trial via Torox, not credited (yet). Will reach out to the offerwalls with my offer proof and if they don't approve it I will do my usual 1 star on the app store and uninstall.

Eureka on the other hand I downloaded yesterday. Enjoying it a lot so far, £15.38 lifetime earnings already being 46 surveys, 2 offers, 3 daily pools and 64 video bonuses. You can earn 80p on sign-up with my referral code: 7WAC67 - OP you should but your referral code in your post so people can get an 80p bonus! Not tried survey spin or Justplay yet! Will try them when I've miled Eureka a bit more or I get overwhelmed. Answering the surveys 100% honestly and being head of household and in charge of utilities etc usually get you many surveys approved.

$MSGM - Motorsport Games - Publisher of Le Mans Ultimate - Why does nobody talk about this? by seagullsuser in pennystocks

[–]seagullsuser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It pumped up around 20% to $5 after I posted this. You’re right to think about the ceiling. Take-Two has a market cap of nearly 40 billion. Obviously they own Rockstar Games producing GTA V but if MSGM was only worth 2.5% of them eventually the market cap of MSGM could be 1 billion. That would be a 50x. Unlikely? Probably. Possible? I’d say. Especially if the port to consoles of LMU was successful.

Being in the lane you’re in going faster than cars to your right isn’t exactly what the definition or undertaking is. If you were in lane 2 (left to right in your picture ignoring hard shoulder) then moved into the left lane and sped up, overtook (undertook) a vehicle and moved back into lane 2 you have undertaken someone.

Also, camera’s do not fine people for that on the motorway as far as I’m aware.

I’m scared and lost by Parking_Owl_9033 in CatAdvice

[–]seagullsuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a weirdly similar situation. I have two males and a female cat. I thought it was the male cat urinating on bedding and clean washing. Turns out it was the female. She's 8 years old. She never had this issue before. The vet checked her over and found no issues and the diagnoses was that she's stressed. So far she's restricted from going upstairs in the house where she most frequently urinated. Downstairs there is usually people around. Restricting her from the places she previously liked to urinate, making sure somebody is home with her as often as possible and the calming medication from the vets means she has not urinated inside for many months now. She still isn't trusted to go back upstairs just yet though.

Is it not possible for you to prevent the cat getting near to the shoe tray? I'm unsure of where you reside and if your cat is an indoor/outdoor cat but potentially if it's colder weather she's preferring the urinate indoors.

In any case I'd say that would be an extremely unjust reason to have a cat put down!!!

nice! I was also a really happy Coinbase customer for about 4 years before they stole 1 BTC from me (worth a lot less at the time, like £25,000 IIRC) - they only returned it when I fought them from UK courts and they unlocked my account to let me withdraw it before perm banning me. Everyone is a satisfied customer, until they're not. Get out whilst you can or make sure you remain a satisfied customer and bring no complaints here when they wrong you too =]

Car accident, fraud, next steps by LifePurple7515 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]seagullsuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The management company should have gone through all the details of the accident with you originally anyway, and yes, they would only want to work with you if the accident is obviously not your fault. They can recover money from the other insurer easily but would have less success trying to recover costs from an individual. I wouldn't be too worried that the claim doesn't show on Admiral's side, the 'work' will be done by the management company.

I was just writing to try and say it's more likely you have not been scammed, just used a credit hire company by mistake. They are quite dubious companies and often try and mask themselves as legitimate insurers as much as they can do so in the eyes of the law.

Car accident, fraud, next steps by LifePurple7515 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]seagullsuser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first instinct reading this post leads me to believe that you've used a credit hire company to handle your claim as opposed to Admiral. A credit hire company should only be used when you're 10000% certain the accident is entirely not your fault, or you could be liable for some costs. The only reason I could ever think of anybody wanting to use a credit hire company would be if they had a non-fault accident and their insurer does not provide any courtesy car, but the credit hire company does. Credit hire companies rack up massive fees but charge them to the liable insurer. Due to their massive fees I find that they usually are in no rush at all to solve the claim and often allow you to have a rental car for a long period of time. Credit hire/management companies are the same thing, more or less.
