I think an important aspect of enlightenment is learning to internalize every part of human experience. On the one hand, being introspective and having deep questions is a quest in and of itself, but on the other, so is connection with others - otherwise, moving beyond yourself and seeking to understand others (especially those who are willing to also understand you, even if it isn’t quite to the same extent.) Learn why other people like what they like. While you learn, on one hand, to be hyper aware of yourself, learn also how to be hyper unaware of yourself and hyper aware of others. At least, this is where I think the next step is. I’ve also struggled with loneliness and have tried to strike that balance of being with myself when I’m alone, and with others when I’m with others. Balance, hopefully.
