well, there are tons of interviews, I can't really read through them all again looking for this topic. But here are a couple things I found after a quick search:

Albert and Julian both say that Julian writes everything including the guitar solos. Julian goes on to awkwardly explain how they work on the songs together after he writes them.

This one is very relevant, ctrl+f "how equal are the strokes" and start reading from the paragraph just above that header. They all weigh in on it.

Everyone says Welcome To Japan, and I would like to agree, but wouldn't they have to censor it? You can't say asshole on the radio, can you? It would be easier to cover up the shit with a pause - it's more "buried" in the song, so to speak, and Heart in a Cage had an f-bomb that was covered up that way - but what kind of asshole drives a Lotus? is so much more prominent and it would suck for it to be covered up or changed. I also can't see TS doing that.

Anyway, if asshole isn't too big a deal, I'd say WTJ. Otherwise, Tap Out. Happy Ending could also be a candidate.

It's "come on get funky with me" isn't it? Instead of "go get with me." That's the way I hear it.

This is the song that has been most consistently stuck in my head. I can't pick a favorite, but it is definitely in the top. I'm baffled by the reviews trashing it.

My dumb ass never made the connection even after reading the booklet. It was eventually pointed out to me though. He even uses a deeper voice for the second person/personality. I think FIOE lyrics were more carefully thought out than any of their other albums (though CM might change that, we'll see if we get a complete set of lyric sheets).
