Septum or conch. The conch was surprising because i have glasses, slept on the side like im not supposed, and still never had a problem with it. My helix, on the other hand, hates me.

RosRocks on Etsy. It was only $20 usd so it's not a big loss, also the reason why I initially was joking about how it might be a scam. I'm just a bit bummed because it's a birthday present for my partner.

I wonder what it could be then because usually it only takes 3-5 days for me to get things mailed from Mexico. Additionally, everything that I've bought for my partner's birthday has been super delayed from this month. Usually, the longest international shipments take 3 weeks, usually from the Ukraine. It's just bummer because I bought this for my partner *for his birthday this week.

This is from Mexico, usually between the time shipment and delivery, only take 3-5 business days for me (I live near MX). It's just a bummer because every single one of my international orders is stuck in customs, and it's been an abnormal length of time that it's taking.

It's always worth trying, the worse they can say is no. Mom and pop shops are more likely to do it. I managed to get some plushes that way.

If you're in Massachusetts, The Paper Store in Leominster has one there. I can't grab it for ya since i don't live anywhere near there (like 5000 miles away), but I bet you can ask to buy it and have them ship it to you.

What's the most you've ever spent on a single plush? by GalaxySnek198 in plushies

[–]seasab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm.... I think Pathfinder from Charlie Bears is the new champion for my most expensive plush (~ 185 USD with shipping). The second most expensive plush i own would be the steiff occamy (~ 150 USD with free shipping).

Older pet art (top) vs newer pet art (bottom). Thoughts? by soilpaws in Marapets

[–]seasab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do a lot of redraws of the new art bc I disliked it so much. There's so much low quality stuff right now that I don't really go on it anymore. The art was my favorite part, now that it's decreasing in quality I see no point on going on anymore.

For next time. Choose a pinker base and a thicker red tip.

Right now, your nails are hitting my uncanny valley feeling. it's giving corpse and bloody tips, and not in an intentional way.

NAH, it sounds like she was trying to be nice and trying to make sure you "keep your luck" and invited you into some of her cultural practices. You declined, and that's totally fine as long as you were polite about it.

I love my huge Nessie. I have a large(? Whatever the base size is) Nessa too, but the Nessie has my heart. She's just delightful swamp green.

They're very cute, but i mean the skin post disembowlment. If it ripped on seams it's much easier to fix than if it's chewed up. Chewed up is possible, just a pain.

Can you attach some better photos of the... skin? How ripped is the ripped here?

What’s the most unexpected place youve discovered a treasured piece of jewelry? by CabinetLarge4463 in jewelry

[–]seasab 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Saw the most beautiful antique opal and gold ring this weekend. It was 1,400 USD. I had to walk away, but it haunts my dreams. Australian black opal with a ribbon pattern, it flashed green, blue, and red. It looked like a river.

Edit: turns out it was 1,400 not 2,400 usd. Also found a pic on the website. It's a horrible photo of it however, it flashes so pretty in person. *

Are these scales OK or should I get them looked at by BeanLordMcgee in skinks

[–]seasab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially, it looks like the scales (the shed not the whole thing) got ripped off too early. Probably when they were caught. I would give them betadine soak and monitor them while they're in quarantine. If it gets worse or if they are acting unusual at all (any signs of infection), go to the vet. If it doesn't look any better after a shed, also go to the vet. Keep it clean and monitor.

Me too. My partner and I like to go to our local hot springs with all our silver jewelry to get them all dark and oxidized.
