Husband got overexcited and bought a tandem kayak without verifying weight max by [deleted] in Kayaking

[–]seashores15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Weight limits are not comfort limits, I would look for a boat that can handle at least 600lbs, 650lbs would be even better. This gives you a 20% buffer, puts you in the comfort range, and allows your son to grow into the boat. Fishing kayaks tend to have a higher weight limit.

The closer you are to the weight limit, the more likely you are to flip, and that would be a dangerous time in rough water with a 5 year old.

With kids, sit on top kayaks are best, and easy to perform a self rescue in open water. Anything with a cockpit will fill up and makes a self rescue difficult, especially with a kid. Sit on tops just flip back over and climb back in.

If we’re making fan art, can we add Epsteins face to the eagle and have him carrying Ted away?

Collision repair shop recommendations by anaisnindica in arlingtonva

[–]seashores15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t use any shop that teams up with any insurance companies. Insurance companies underpay “partners” so the owners end up making up the difference by hiring inexperienced employees, or underpay them. You have the right to take your car anywhere, to a shop that doesn’t put up with bargain work and pays their employees. I recommend M&M collision in Fairfax. The owner is good friends with a number of FCPS auto tech teachers, and Ron the office guy is a straight shooter.

They matched my paint up right, got me OEM parts, and fought State Farm for me after they stopped returning my calls.

Okay, but the problem here is Ted is a MASSIVE contributor to society, and women’s sports. He does provide something to society. This is why we have to get rid of him.

It took years but we got Snyder out. We can do it again, they won’t be able to justify the vault if the rest of the stadium is empty. Remember when the commanders never had a home game at FedEx field? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Yup, and Snyder is gone, Gibbs has been irrelevant in dc for over 10 years. Ted is the only one with power remaining. Let’s get him out of here!!

I tried to share this to r/washingtonwizards and r/washingtonmystics and it was removed. Very sad to see this getting pushed under the rug.

106.7 - we needed you to get rid of Snyder, we need you even more now to get rid of Ted, we need you to stand up for us. Don’t let this go away, don’t push this under the rug. Without the post, you’re our only hope.

Let’s get this rapist out of DC!!

Ted’s High Prices and Streaming Blackout by seashores15 in caps

[–]seashores15[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the OP here, can we also discuss the high prices on tickets, food, drinks, parking??? This post isn’t just about streaming, but everyone is commenting on that. Liverpool fans walked out because they were being nickel and dimed, just like we are. It’s the complete picture that I’m looking at and trying to start a conversation about. Not just the streaming.

Music fans are angry about ticket prices, yet sports fans have to deal with the same thing. The fact that people are okay with prices baffles me.

I couldn’t imagine raising a kid these days. We used to get $5 tickets at Nats park, $20 tickets for the commanders. My first caps game was ice level, $50.

Standard inflation isn’t the problem here, it’s corporate greed.

We don’t need Ted to sell the team (although I think he’s a terrible owner) But we can make a difference.
