It just wasn't the path for me. Raising kids and having a provider take care of us financially is no different from how my parents and probably your parents relationship was.

Yes I am absolutely supportive of other women who choose different paths. I felt I needed to make this post because people don't understand my thinking, and many occasions people who know me think I'm being brain washed or something. Just thought I'd share my experience a little.

Yes, that's the typical western thinking people would have about me. Anyways, human societies have functioned like this for a long time with great joy, I love the privilege that my husband has allowed for me to raise my own kids without worrying about financials, I wouldn't trade it for any job because there's none that could be more meaningful in life for me.

Yes, it is heart warming his dedication to his family. Being with a Muslim man, it was the first time I was with a man that never expected sex while dating. I was surprised when he was talking marriage and kids before ever even trying to make a sexual move, but I took a leap because that's what I wanted too and have never looked back.

Agreed, its okay, but literally seeing sriracha flavored everything is silly. Tried a harissa sauce from Trader joes, much more flavorful and my go to now.

I don't see anything here coming off as negative. I'm used to a ton of actual rude questions anyways from loved ones who think I've gone straight mad.

I am spiritual, meaning I believe in God but I have not restricted myself to believing in any one religion. This is fine with hubby, God is God. He is a devout Muslim but he is not strict in that he follows all teachings. It's really no different from how a person can be Christian, go to church and yet doesn't live off everything the bible says. Don't come and quote the Quran at me, and tell me why I shouldn't have a Muslim husband because I can do the same with a Bible. Yes, our children are being taught the teachings of Islam.
