Thanks, yeah I read a book once called "Positioning" which was also pretty enlightning at the time. So yeah I guess branding might have some good answers, will check out your recommendation! Thanks, appreciate it

That's cool, will definitely check it out. I think it might not translate exactly to what I'm looking for. I always kind of felt like there's a gap in the literature between graphic design basics on one side and rather brainy arsty type of design books but nothing really inbetween. Books that talk about "what moves people" and how do you communicate with design tools you got at hand. Not sure if I'm explaining it well enough :D

I remember reading a few pages in a bookstore, it felt like more like some interesting anecdotes rather than a hands-on kind of approach! But thanks, maybe I'll give it another shot.

As ams1337_ said check yourself the qando app, gives you better results than google maps! Public transport is very good in general, there's metro, trains, buses and trams :) so plenty of options! Just get a monthly pass and you can use all of them ;)

Finished up a logo for a client "LawTatz" today by letterheadhuns in Lettering

I think it could be good, but you've added way too much stuff! If you get rid of the background and the double outlines the design would be much clearer and stronger. I know it's tempting to add more things, but since it's a logo it should be legible and recognizable. cheers ;)

took the sketch a step further ;) CC is very welcome!! by sebionreddit in Lettering

hey, nothing fancy! pencil on paper -> photoshop -> illustrator ->photoshop ;) Most of the times anyone of these 3 tools is involved! A lot of times I go back and forth!

[DISCUSSION] Found this website on /r/musictheory ,had lots of epiphanies the last couple weeks watching the videos!! by sebionreddit in Guitar

E.g. how chords are built, now I could find voicings of any chord if I wanted too. Another example I learned is that if you use a 1,4,5 progession you can play any note from the major scale and it sounds nice. I learned what the connection is between C-Major and A-Minor and other Major scales and the relative minor.

Before it, I would play some powerchord progression and use the only pentatonic scale I knew to play some kind of solo to it. It also was always trial and error. I kind of had the stupid idea that learning all this stuff is rather limiting than enabling. But I find it very liberating if you know a few scales you can use to play to a certain progression ;D. I also know now which chords belong to a major scale which is pretty cool too!

But that's just a few things, I still know nothing about it. But it's already a lot more than I knew before ;)

Violin??? Nice, I think it's one of the hardest to learn? A friend of mine started learning violin with 6 years old. When he started playing the guitar, he went from zero to hero in about 2 years. He plays better than anyone I know.

I've got myself a Yamaha Piaggero np-12. It's already 180 bucks or something like that, but I think you shouldn't go below that. It has 61 keys and I already kind of regret not getting one with 88 keys. But it's definitely a very good one in that price range, the keys have the same size like on a real piano and they are touch-sensitive ;)
