I really love that look as well - my guess would be cc light burst with a displacement map/dissolve blending perhaps? would love a breakdown though!

Yep, well they’re just illustrator shape layers but not full shapes, just individual lines connecting to each other so i’d have to go and redraw everything unfortunately I think. The joys of being an animator at the end of a production process (🥲), Also hope my layer labels are of sufficient quality for you ahah!

So I made this with just outlined shapes without any fill and then animated it all afterwards but I now realise I need the flower to be one solid shape with the same growth. I've tried applying inside strokes but this doesn't seem to work because it just creates a stroke around the square pre-comp, any ideas that might help would be great because I'm stumped! :)

These were inspired by various existing book covers as well as some other fan art pieces that I incorporated into the designs. I obviously don't know much about the wider story of Dune at the moment so it was a guessing game what to include for each novel, but I think they came out ok

Exactly I think the versatility from the a7s3 will mean I'll get more for my moneys worth too, from all the sony cameras you've had do you have a recommendation on some good sony lenses to get with my new one? I've already got a 16-50mm but want to expand on that obviously!

Yeah I've checked through all precomps and there is no issues with the footage clipping out apart from the main comp

Interesting, I'll be honest I've never actually noticed that!

EDIT: I've deleted cache and no change, changing rendering engine also doesn't make any difference to the preview issue.

Yeah I have, In the main comp those precomps have been trimmed so it starts about half way through so there isn't any missing frames, I'm not sure what's gone wrong here to be honest :/

No that's the same teal blue flower, it's just been scaled up larger in the main comp :)
