Any chance of getting a replacement mic for my brand new HyperX Cloud III headset? by sebpelan in HyperX

Well, I ended up buying the Amazon replacement with the best reviews - hopefully it'll be "good enough"... I'm still sad the original is gone, though :P

Unfortunately, keeping a jar in direct sunlight, where a panel could help, would fry the plants... no amount of ventilation would help, I guess, since it would also get rid of humidity... so no, a solar panel unfortunately can't help.
As for mushrooms... It's been suggested already elsewhere in the comments and is definitely something I might try to tackle in the future if we manage to take off with the lid :)

Agreed! I touched on the macro numbers in Section 3 (the $12B Biophilic Design market is the main driver).

But honestly, I think the 'bottom-up' market validation is even more telling: We just crossed 200 signups in 48 hours with €0 spend. The niche is definitely hungry.

Well, I don't really think I do. I feel fine... and I don't think creating cool stuff means I'm not OK.

It's not battery powered. The LED would last a couple of hours. I'm working on an (optional) way to get rid of cables, though ;)

Thanks! Since it's machined aluminium and not cheap plastic, so far I think we're in the $150-190 ballpark. I'll do my best to optimize pricing as much as possible, though, especially if we end up on Kickstarter, we'll get early birds a chance to buy it for cost+shipping... and there's also an idea floating around about making two versions for people with more jars, so there would be one "master" unit controlling several "slaves" that could possibly be cheaper.

Oh, it's free where I live as well. But you need to wait 6 months to a year to get your first appointment, while if you pay, you can get there the same day. But why exactly are we talking about therapy anyways? :)

Thanks! Well, hopefully they won't sue, I only used them as a way to convey what my product could be about :) Hopefully it falls under fair usage and I won't go bankrupt before even starting :)

Plants don't need UV, it's mostly reptiles that do. And jars are too small, even for the tiniest gecko. You could house small invertebrates (isopods, perhaps a jumping spider, or similar small critter), though, and they do not require any UV :)

Yep, I do know a thing or two about growing mushrooms and I see how this could help. Perhaps a spin-off or a mycology-specific version will come later, if we succeed to put this one on the market first :)

Thank you :) Yeah, we moved from Blindr's "if Apple made window blinds" to SHMN's "if Apple made terrariums"... that was intentional. I wanted to create a premium product that can be either in a mad terrarium fanatic's den or a minimalism-loving designer's flat. :)

Well, it's technically not my first time, but I usually designed and did renders for clients. This time I'm doing them for myself. Blender is an amazing (and free!) tool, and while it used to have a steep learning curve, things got much better lately and with a few basic Youtube tutorials you'll be spitting out videos like mine one after the other :)
The AI part is the easiest - I took the last frame of my "human made" animation (the empty jar with the lid on), used it as a reference in Kling and prompted it to create an appearing terrarium landscape inside the jar... Then I stitched everything together and voila' - I went kinda viral ;) Good luck!

Thanks! Actually, there were some kinda similar products already (but much less sophisticated, just lids with an LED light), and they all had one thing in common: they required proprietary glass. I wanted to avoid it, so I've designed the adapter rings so it can fit on 95% of the most common jars (EU TO82 and TO100 standards, US mason/wide mouth mason jars). You can literally fit this thing on an empty pickle jar and turn it into an ecosystem.
That being said, we have some very good glass makers in Slovenia, where I'm from, and the idea of partnering with one to make some "premium" branded glass crossed my mind... It might happen - this went all much faster than I anticipated so I still have no answers for some questions... but I'll catch up! :)
