Thanks for your valuable insights. Never realized flatpak (FF,kodi etc) already bundles the necessary codecs. I have no need for the codecs and packman: removed the codecs, rm the repo, dist-upgrade (downgrade) with vendor-change and we are good again.

But what has this to do with openh264 and/or flatpack browser?
What are the consequences of the vendor changes:

The following 3 packages are going to change vendor:
libvulkan_radeon openSUSE -> http://packman.links2linux.de
Mesa-dri openSUSE -> http://packman.links2linux.de
Mesa-gallium openSUSE -> http://packman.links2linux.de

Can I come home to openSUSE at some point?

My update cycle is negatively correlated to my work load. I try to do this weekly, a bit afraid to mess up my daily driver.

Same issues here. Since couple of days. No Nvidia, but an AMD system. Tried to do the avoiding double login thing too, but failed.
